Jason pursued his post-secondary studies at the University of Ottawa, having graduated cum laude with an Honours Degree in Criminology in 2003 and a Bachelor of Law in 2006. While attending the University of Ottawa, he was an active member of the Infinity Lifer's Liaison Group through Collins Bay Institution.
He articled with the firm of Bayne Sellar Boxall before being called to the bar in 2007. Between 2007 and 2019, Jason worked as an associate with local firm Kafka Kort, where he accumulated a vast amount of experience litigating criminal and quasi-criminal matters at various levels of court. He has represented clients facing a wide variety of charges from traffic tickets to murder.
