With eyes being so important in nearly everything you do, it makes sense to invest a little time to make sure they are functioning properly now and for the rest of your life. Little problems need to be treated before they become big permanent eye problems that can't be treated. The only way to to catch little eye problems is with comprehensive routine eye exams.
Whether you are a candidate for Laser depends on many factors. Combined with the results of your regular eye exam, our optometrists will be able to determine whether you are a good candidate for refractive surgery and which type of surgery is most appropriate. We will then refer you to one of our partnered laser centers for further testing.
Ortho-K (orthokeratology) is a process involving gas permeable hard contact lenses that correct your vision while you sleep so you can enjoy clear vision during the day without glasses, or contacts. It is a safe and gentle vision correction option that is reversible, and has shown to control myopia when worn by children.
This depends on your age and overall health condition. For children 19 years of age and under, seniors, and those with eye conditions, we recommend annual checkups. Healthy adults should get checked every 2 years. Our optometrists will recommend an appropriate follow up appointment based on your individual circumstance.

Found this place off of google as it was the highest rated/reviewed optometrist in DTM and it did not disappoint.
Dr. Michelle Yip was very professional and knowledgeable as we discussed what my concerns were and how I could improve. The eye exam has an additional option for photos to be taken which was definitely interesting (make sure your insurance covers/receptionist will help you figure it out).
The receptionist was also superb! Super friendly, welcoming and makes everything more convenient.

Found Opsis as it was one of the top, if not THE top rated in Markham. I understand exactly why it was the top rated after my experience there. Dr. Jessica Nhan knows exactly what she's doing and goes the extra mile, as does her staff. A friendly face at the front desk definitely helps too. What a refreshing experience compared to your typical half hour to one hour waiting room experience at other places. The moment I entered I was greeted by the their super friendly staff. I was taken in right away for my initial exam before seeing Dr. Nhan within a short period of time afterwards. Dr. Nhan was an absolute pleasure to deal with and extremely personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended and a BIG thank you to everyone there!

Dr. Michelle Yip was amazing. Very professional and knowledgeable. She explained everything clearly and taken the extra time to walk the client through the eye exam. The office was bright and clean. The receptionist greets you with a warm welcome. There is a section of frames to choose from, not many, but most come here for the eye exam so not a big deal.
Definitely recommend Dr. Michelle Yip and will be coming back.

I recently moved into the area and wanted to find an optometrist near me. I decided to come here given the numerous positive reviews. I'm really glad that I did and I'm happy to confirm the positive reviews are legit! Dr. Nhan is friendly, patient, you can tell she's a very kind and caring person and she's very knowledgeable in her field. I highly recommend her to anyone who's looking for an optometrist who's knowledgeable and cares about their patients. Her receptionist, who's name i unfortunately did not catch, is also very pleasant and helpful!

My daughter and I both had our annual eye check-up in the past month. I can say that everything from booking the appointment, checking in for the appointment and the actual appointment itself was done with meticulous care. I can tell Dr. Nhan genuinely cares for her patients. She was very patient in answering all I wanted to know about my eyes and those of my daughters and gave excellent advice. She was really kind to my daughter and was very skilled in getting her to stay still for her check-up, so there's also that - good with kids!

Had my eye exam here back in May 2021 with Dr. Michelle Yip. The front desk staff were very friendly and efficient. I only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seen after registration+Covid screening. Dr. Yip explained the process and the results clearly and answered my questions with no issues. The entire time, I felt safe as the equipment and rooms were clean. Free parking on the surface and underground. It was very easy to find the office. I'm happy I made the switch from my old optometrist to Opsis, as their hours of operation fit better to my work schedule.

My mom LOVES Dr. Yip. LOVES her.
Today was her first time at Opsis (her eye doctor just retired) and she was quite nervous, especially with covid these days. But Dr. Yip was super thorough and patient. My mom felt really cared for. The office’s assistant was really kind and accommodating too. The whole experience was great. Both of us are more than happy to head back and rely on Opsis for eye care. Thank you!!

Great experience! I switched from my old optometrist to Opsis as they were more conveniently located for me, and I had an excellent visit. Dr. Michelle Yip was thorough and explained everything clearly. Each step of the comprehensive exam sh explained they why behind what she was doing. Receptionists were very friendly also and made you feel like a welcomed and valued customer. I will definitely recommend the rest of my family to see Dr. Yip.

Never thought too much about my eye health until learning more about eye care with Dr. Nhan. The office has special equipment that can take a picture of the back your eye for a thorough check up. I learned a lot from Dr. Nhan who was patient in explaining the purpose of each step in my exam - I would go back!

I've been Dr. Nhan's patient for over five years and I have always enjoyed her friendly approach and care. She takes her time and answers questions clearly so that I'm comfortable with seeking clarification. With a family history of cataracts, I needed a health professional whom I feel confident in - I feel like with Dr. Nhan, I have found that!

She really takes her time with you, so you never feel rushed, and is patient in answering all of your questions. Dr. Jessica Nhan and her staff are wonderful. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Dr. Nhan is so caring, for example if your prescription is sort of in the middle, she would let you know and allow you to choose as wearing a higher prescription will make your vision worse. Other optometrists would just round to the nearest number, so you'll end up with a prescription which is too strong. They are easy to talk to, never judgmental or pushy allowing you to choose freely. Others won't even take a PD measurement unless you buy glasses from them.

The lady was friendly when I made the appointment and I found their fees to be fairly reasonable compared to others. I got the general exam, contact lens exam and got my retinas captured on a microscopic camera: $170.00.
The place is conveniently located at downtown Markham by the vip theatres. Plenty of parking !!

I was recommended here for my full eye exam with Dr. Jessica Nhan. I was greeted promptly when I arrived. Other patients were being seen at the same time but I didn't mind wandering around the store looking at the eyeglass frames. They carry Zac Posen, MCM, Ferragamo, New Balance, Rayban.
Both the receptionist and Dr. Nhan were courteous and easy to talk to. They also do direct billing depending on the insurance provider.
Parking is bit of a hassle but I blame the building management and not the business.
