Richard Smith, has been working in the mortgage industry for more than 20 years. Tekamar Mortgages first opened its doors in 1979, but soon became a father and son team. Richard took over as president of the company in 1992 and has since provided thousands of customers within southern British Colombia with renowned service.

To say that Rich Smith is a miricle-worker would be an understatement. Not only did he get us a great mortgage (from 5,000 kms away no less) but he also did so in a very short amount of time. We have dealt with two brokers in town before so I am confident in saying that Rich is THE best person to have on your side. He is productive, efficient, comitted, empathetic, and positive...when we would come across a road block and other brokers would say nothing else could be done, Rich found a way. This was a second opportunity to work with Tekamar Mortgages Ltd. Several years ago Tekamar Mortgages Ltd. Broker Ester Arrowsmith took on the request to put together a lender with our son, who was purchasing his first home. Ester kept our son informed all through the process, and passed on the agreement between the lending institution and himself with only signatures required. I recognized the value of an experienced broker, searching for best value for her customers's need and to top it off, everything was kept local.
