What is a Fish Flight? Simple: it was a 6:50 am plane that left from Vancouver every morning to deliver freshly-caught fish to hungry Los Angeles restaurants before the start of the business day. It was the earliest direct flight from YVR to LAX.
Back in the analogue days of Hollywood North, before digital deliveries and fast transfer speeds, the pioneers of the Vancouver film industry began loading up the Fish Flight with film reels so Hollywood Execs could review the footage shot on the previous day.In the early days of VFX and Animation in Vancouver, we would send our film-outs on the Fish Flight so VFX Supervisors and Directors could give us notes as soon as possible.

Fish Flight specializes in creating cinematic content through the Unreal game engine and stylized motion graphics sequences, but we can do a lot more. We tell stories and make visuals for Video Game clients. If you are a Video Game client and you need something that is not on this list, we probably do that too.
You are a dynamic team member with 3-5 years of experience animating keyframe and motion capture in Maya for Episodic Content, Feature Films or Games. You like owning your shots from layout and camera framing through to final polish. Bonus Points if you have familiarity with Motion Builder, the Unreal Engine, and/or Rigging.
How much time you got? We are a tight-knit team of industry veterans. We get it. You wanted to give us 3 months warning, but it took a month for budget approval and a few months to build the RFP.
