Based in Saanich, BC, serving southern Vancouver Island & the Gulf Islands. We design & install new septic systems and offer maintenance, inspection & restoration services for aging ones. RECORD KEEPING We'll provide records to you, the Health Authority/Municipality and also keep a copy safe in our digital database for future.
We feel very fortunate that we chose Western Wastewater to design and implement our new septic system. From start to finish they were extremely knowledgeable, professional, meticulous and thorough. Our goal is to design the simplest system for your needs while meeting or exceeding current standards.
The key to a long lasting system is a good relationship between proper design & installation. We do both - the same technicians who were there during the planning stage with clip board and calculators are there with their steel toe boots & installation equipment. Once installed, we commission the system.
A septic system treats your wastewater on your own property, and releases clean treated water back into the groundwater. A properly functioning septic system receives your household's wastewater and treats it to a safe level before returning it to the environment. A conventional septic system is composed of a septic tank and a soil filter, also called a leaching bed, dispersal or drain field.
Working in the onsite wastewater industry requires a range of skills from 'basic to highly-technical' with wages ranging from $18 - $45 per hour, plus overtime and benefits. Western Wastewater Systems (WWS) is a business that does it all, from maintenance and inspection to design and install. We don't expect every employee to have every skill - we work as a team!

I've used Jackson and Western Wastewater a few times to perform Septic System inspections for my Buyer clients who are purchasing homes with septic systems. In every instance, I have found him to be very responsive, thorough and professional. He has done everything from recommending regular maintenance and necessary repairs to full replacement. I highly recommend him based on my experience.
