Services
Our knowledgeable and qualified staff are willing to answer any questions regarding registration, subsidy, and programming. We can also assist with developmental screening, referrals, and questions about child development. In Westlock, we offer day care, Family Day Homes, and out-of-school care programs.
The Westlock Child Care Society operates 3 distinct programs to suit the needs of the communities in which we serve. We are currently accepting registrations for all ages of children, in all programs, from 0 months - 12 years. You will need the information from line 150 from last year's taxes to complete the application.
The Westlock Community Daycare has a capacity of over 60 children, providing two snacks and lunch, a large outdoor learning environment, and unstructured play with activities that focus on children's learning dispositions, holistic goals, and core concepts of Flight: Alberta's Early Learning Curriculum Framework.
We are also available to expand our services to Swan Hills, Onoway, Boyle, Lac La Biche, and surrounding areas! Give us a call for more info. Families who access Family Day Homes contracted with the Agency can apply for government subsidy. Our Family Day Homes are monitored regularly and supported by a Family Day Home Coordinator and Family Day Home Visitor.
The Westlock Child Care Society's Out-of-School Care program operates from the early learning program. Children enrolled in the program are offered healthy snacks (and a meal during full days), various self-directed and group activities, and leadership opportunities. Children are very involved in the planning of this program and offer suggested activities, field trip options, and often make their own meals.

The staff at the daycare is experienced, caring, and supportive. They provide healthy food daily and allow my children to grow socially. My children get to interact with others and learn cool new things through play that assist them in developing skills to be ready for school and life. The daycare is accredited so this means that they beat government standards. With my children safe and well cared for it allows
