The name "Red Bird" refers to the Shen (connection between heart, mind and spirit) in Chinese Medicine.
The Element connected to the heart is Fire (red) - the Fire Element represents consciousness, community and unity between all things, "bird" represents the freedom of our Shen. The health of our Shen directly relates to the health of our body and our body's response to healing. By incorporating the treatment of Shen, we can encourage the original information upon which the body was built and encourage the body heal itself.

Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile. Jenna Roze is an Acupuncture practitioner in Vernon BC. Her passion for physical, mental and emotional health led her to complete a 3 year Diploma Program in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) at Pacific Rim College.
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient system of medicine originating from China around 5000 years ago. It is a complete system of medicine using unique ways such as observing the tongue and pulse for diagnosis. Once understanding the imbalance in the body, the practitioner is able to choose the right points and pathways to help restore equilibrium and therefore allow the body to heal itself.
When there is disease or pain, qi (energy) flows incorrectly, in the wrong pathway or backwards due to scar tissue, physical trauma or stuck emotions. Acupuncture unblocks qi so that it can flow correctly in the pathway, allowing the body to heal itself. Acupuncture treatments may include other Traditional Chinese Medicine modalities like cupping, gua sha and moxa.

Trisha was able to fit me in her schedule on short notice and was very accommodating. I was looking for another avenue to conceive a baby since my husband and I had been trying for over a year and all medical labs came back normal. I saw Trisha once and she took the time to listen and evaluate my needs based on my cycle of menses. I took her advice and followed her plan of care. Just two short months later my husband and I got pregnant! We will forever be grateful for Trisha’s knowledge and time to care for my needs. Our baby was born healthy and happy this month.

I would definitely recommend Jenna for your alternative healthcare treatments very professional and knowledgeable. Unlike modern medicine, you can drift away for an hour and relax, in a cozy little room with unique music and aromas, and the needles don't hurt....usually... hehe. Its nice to have an alternative, yet ancient source for healthcare that is more respectful to your body and soul. I come in for shoulder and back pain, and I bring my daughter in as well for various sport injuries. My only complaint is sometimes difficult to get an appointment. cheers
