Stittsville Childcare Centre has been licensed by the Ministry of Education to provide childcare services to the Stittsville community since 2003. Children, their families and the SCC staff each play an equally vital role in the success of the SCC community. Together, we share a dedication to quality childcare and education.

Services
We believe active learning during play gives children opportunities to make choices within a safe and nurturing environment. SCC staff and program leaders make an effort to complement the learning opportunities children also have at home. We value the partnership and shared interest with parents/guardians to advance their child's development.
Toddlers are taught in a warm and nurturing environment at a ratio of one teacher for every five children, with a maximum of 12 children. Our childcare teachers work with your child to explore and manipulate toys, books and sensory materials, which helps them to develop their curiosity, creativity, and independence.
Our preschoolers are taught in a fun and welcoming environment at a ratio of one teacher for everyone eight children, with a maximum of 21 children. The Preschool Program gives your child an opportunity to interact with other children through cooperative learning activities. Our goal is to enhance your child's social skills such as taking turns, good manners, cooperation and respectful behaviour.
Come and join SCC for a day full of fun activities, park visits, baking, relaxing, making friends, and being creative! SCC offers one-day camps for PD Days scheduled by all Ottawa school boards. Children are welcome to attend as many or as few days throughout the school year as are desired. Morning snack, a hot lunch and afternoon snack are all offered and included in the fee.
Our Before & After School program allows parents and guardians, whose child's school day is often shorter than their work day, leave their children with us. The children come to our centre to participate in activities geared toward their enrichment or enjoyment. We make sure they are in a safe, caring environment with a curriculum that focuses on character growth and team building.
