Services
Apple Tree Landing works from a "play based and child-centered" perspective. Our goal is to enrich the early experiences of our community's children. This begins by facilitating a deep sense of worth, of belonging to a peer group, along with a sense of a growing personal history within the community.
The snacks and/or meals served to children offer a well-balanced and nutritious variety of foods that follow the Food and Nutrition Regulations for Child Care Settings; vegetarian choices are offered as well. Four separate weekly menus are developed and changed seasonally. These are repeated on a four-week rotation schedule.
Our daughter loves going to Apple Tree! The staff there are wonderful and caring and do a great job with the program activities to keep the children learning and exploring in all sorts of ways as they grow. Their outdoor play space is fantastic, and a perfect setting for children of all different ages to actively play together or on their own and let their imaginations run wild!
Arrival for children begins at 8:30 am. Pick-up time is 11:30 am. If you need to bring your child earlier than the scheduled drop-off time an additional charge will be charged (please speak to the Executive Director). Other major breaks are scheduled to coincide with the Annapolis Valley Regional School Board's Calendar.
Each day children will have opportunities to experience learning in a variety of ways. They will work in large and small groups, have one-on-one interaction with classmates and have individual attention from staff members. The following routine provides a framework for daily activities within the childcare programs.

We were very hesitant when we began the childcare search for our first born 7 years ago. When we arrived at the centre for a tour, the director answered all of our MANY questions and assured us that our baby would be OK and she meant it. Our children, now 8 and 4, have been going to there ever since and we would highly recommend this centre. The… staff goes above and beyond to make each day successful for our children, in any way they can.
We love that they use an emergent curriculum, which enables our children to retain more of what they are learning, as it is something that they are interested

Our child is constantly being sent home with heat rash needing a doctors note to return the note today says healthy as a horse and unless she has a fever is vomiting or has diarrhea she can not be sent home it is getting very frustrating having to fork out 44 dollars three times for a heat rash with no reimbursement I do not recommend this daycare whatsoever
