Located 2 hours east of Winnipeg on the shore of Big Whiteshell Lake, we are your premiere destination for private getaways, family fun and fabulous fishing. In the midst of a busy winter I wanted/needed a quiet mini vacation away from civilization and this was the perfect place to accomplish that mission. We absolutely loved our time out and away. It was cozy, comfortable, we had everything we needed and the service was exceptional. The owner was super friendly, approachable, helpful, and went above and beyond to take care of whatever was needed. I’m so glad we did this!!!

This is our fourth time out here and every time there is something new! There’s a sectioned off HUGE patio just beside the store and deck with 4 picnic tables and umbrellas. All staff are friendly and service is great.
We stayed at cabin 8; there’s a road in front of the cabin and nowhere to go past that. Having a truck and boat, we back in and it’s perfect, right in front of the cabin. Kitchen, living room with satellite tv, BBQ + deck + patio table and chairs, two bedroom, A/C, bathroom and shower - it’s cozy for two.

My family stayed for 2 nights at Cabin 5. The cabin was very cozy and clean. The views were spectacular even just from the deck. It had all the basics that we needed. And they have a well stocked store if you need anything else. I loved the whirlpool tub and the fireplace. The staff were very friendly and accommodating.

We were up at the lodge in one of the old cabins. The facilities were nice and clean and very affordable. Gary, the owner was very personable and bent over backwards to ensure we had a great visit. Unfortunately, it was extremely cold and our car wouldn't start without a boost, bur the staff made us feel very safe and comfortable while we waited for CAA to arrive from Lac du Bonnet.

10/10 ☆ Hands down one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Garry (Owner), we cannot thank you enough for such an amazing time. The cabins are immaculate, I LOVED the jacuzzi tub, the balcony looking… onto the water during morning coffee ... one of the most beautiful sunrises I've ever seen! I could go on for days! HIGHLY RECOMMEND. WE WILL BE BACK!!! THANKS AGAIN!

My husband and I spent four amazing days at Big Whiteshell Lodge in a fabulous lakeside cottage. We hiked and went cross country skiing. The jacuzzi tub was a welcome reprieve after our workouts! Garry and… Heather (owners) were so welcoming and were available when needed. It was a perfect retreat after the challenging year of 2020! We will definitely be back and recommend this hidden gem to anyone!

My family stayed at big whiteshell lodge this year for Christmas. With my son only being two weeks old and my daughter only 2, we were nervous how it would go. The staff went above and beyond to say the least to make our stay amazing. The cabin was super clean, beds were super comfortable,views were un believable and the covid-19 protocalls and curbside pick ups from the store made us feel extra safe in these crazy times! Big thanks to Big whiteshell lodge for making Christmas 2020 one we will never forget!
