A Will, also called a "Last Will and Testament" is a legal document that states your final wishes. In other words, a Will is the document where you state who will be the Estate Trustee, 'who receives what' of your estate ie. Powers of Attorney are legal documents that delegate your decision making authority to someone else.

In Ontario, each person needs to have their own Will, even if you and your spouse have matching estate plans. A guardianship appointment made in a Will only lasts for 90 days. Within that time, your chosen guardian(s) will need to submit a court application for full custody of your minor children. We can set up a testamentary trust with a staggered distribution.
In Ontario, it's possible for an individual to have multiple Wills, usually call Primary and Secondary Wills. You may wish to create a multiple Will estate plan if you own a private corporation.
