Services
Bouldering is climbing without ropes below a set height limit. Because there are no ropes, boulder routes or "problems" often trend side to side and not just straight up and down. Many people enjoy bouldering on its own because it can be done without a partner and the problems can often be challenging on a shorter wall.
Come by for a drop-in on our Climbing + Fitness or book a time in the Fun Zone. If you find yourself enjoying climbing, sign up for a belay lesson and learn how to get on the ropes on your own. Belaying is what the person on the ground is doing to keep the climber safe. They are making sure the rope goes up with the climber so in the event of a fall, the climber is caught by the rope and the counter weight of the belayer.
If you are currently enrolled in a program and want to know what the next step should be, speak with your instructor. Our 6 week classes are divided by age and skill level, and allow for participants to progress their climbing as they move through the different levels. Every beginner must start with a Recreational class (1 hour per week).

A nice little climbing gym in Red Deer. I’m no expert climber but it seemed well put together.
My only complaints were that the bouldering section is a bit small compared to other gyms I’ve been to.
Also, I would say the runs are fairly challenging compared to some other gyms I’ve been to, so this may not be a great place to learn.

The staff were helpful and friendly. Lots of selection for climbing. I brought my young daughter and she had "100,000 fun" in the couple hours we were there. She likes climbing but if want sure if she would be up for a full two hours but it wasn't until she was tired and thirsty that she wanted a break. Being bored never came up.

Great programs for kids. What I like best about them however is the way they also give back to the community and donate to worthwhile causes that save the lives of all Albertans having just help us raise over $57000 by donating a tremendous silent auction item to the 6th annual Whispering Pines Charity Golf Tournament to benefit STARS. Thank you to Kurtis Paul for your generous donation
