Join a group, come out for the work bees, participate in the social events or just come and enjoy the perks of a membership. The Alberni Golf Club is a 6,242-yard, par 70 course located in the Alberni Valley at the hub of the Pacific Rim. Nestled amongst the evergreens under the ever watchful presence of Mount Arrowsmith, this golfer's jewel follows the contours of a salmon bearing stream which comes into play on several holes and also makes its annual contribution to the world's salmon capital, Port Alberni.

Pro Tip: Hole #1 is a slight dogleg left par four, accuracy is needed off the tee as there is water on both sides. A 200 yard teeshot will leave you a mid to short iron to the green. Make sure to take enough club as the front of the green is protected by a pond. Pro Tip: This par three requires an accurate tee shot as there is a narrow gap to shoot through.
All children under the age of 12 golf free if golfing with a parent or grandparent. Youth aged 12-16 pay $5.00 per round if golfing with a parent or grandparent (parent or grandparent are not required to be members). Located at the hub of the Pacific Rim, the Alberni Valley has many treasures for you to discover.
The Alberni Golf Club currently boasts a membership of approximately 400 members. The Club endeavours to enhance the experience of membership by providing as many diverse opportunities for members to enjoy the privilege of belonging to the club as possible. Our goal is to provide something for everyone.
With two dining areas, and extensive covered and sunny decks overlooking the pond, our #1 fairway, and the Beaufort range, the Alberni Golf Club Clubhouse facilities are a welcoming source of pride for our members and guests. Casual and friendly hospitality are the norm for the Alberni Golf Club Restaurant staff, and our menu offers "clubhouse" fare with daily features that offer a bit more adventure and further enhance your dining experience.

Course was quite narrow and mostly played long straights. It doesn't have much for technical play.
There is a large COVID-19 board describing all the protocols put in place to protect us but, alas, the course has decided that none of them are important and ignores most of their own protocols. I'm rather concerned about spreading deadly diseases and hope to see them tighten up their enforcement.
