If you live in Swift Current or the surrounding area in Saskatchewan, then you have picked the perfect site to find a veterinarian. We have many licensed veterinarians, treating all types of animals. Your animal's health and well being is very important to us and we will take every step to give the best possible care.

We have a full service small animal hospital and a full service large animal hospital. We take both emergency cases as well as less urgent medical, surgical, and dental issues. We are experienced in all types of conditions and treatments. We have someone on call for after-hours emergencies 365 days of the year.
Services
Glen was born and raised on a mixed farm at Rockglen, SK. At the age of 15, he began working for a cow/calf producer and upon graduation from high school, he worked at several ranches and feedlots acquiring the knowledge and skills required to operate his own ranch. It did not appear that his path would provide the means to finance that dream, so after 3 years, he applied to university.
We focus on disease prevention by providing our clients with information about sound management for their herds. Unfortunately, even in the best managed herds, disease does exist. We will assess the situation, either on farm or at the clinic and will use the knowledge and tools we have to determine why the animal is sick and to treat appropriately.
The Animal Health Center wishes to encourage anyone wishing to purchase a replacement herd bull in 2014 to contact any one of the following progressive purebred cattle producers. These people had their bulls evaluated by veterinarians at the Animal Health Center for breeding soundness in 2013. All these people raise superior seedstock and put the extra effort into ensuring they are selling you a problem free fertile animal.
A large portion of our equine practice involves the diagnosis and treatment of medical problems. We start with a thorough physical exam. This involves taking a heart rate and respiratory rate, taking temperature, listening to heart/lungs/guts, checking eyes eyes/ears/mouth for abnormalities, looking for lumps/bumps, and checking digital pulses.
Sometimes minor procedures are less stressful on your pet and easier for the veterinarian to carry out if tranquilization or sedation is used. Some of the newer drugs that we have can be reversed, so that your pet may recover quicker and stays in the hospital for a shorter time. Depending on the age of your pet and the disease process going on, we will use the safest combination possible.
