We also produce custom extrusions using all Titanium grades, Zirconium, Niobium, Copper, Tantalum, Hafnium, Stainless & Carbon steels, Copper alloys, Aluminum alloys, as well as combinations of two or more metals clad together. We have been producing specialty extrusions since the 1950's. Nu-Tech began producing welded components in the mid 1980's and today welds using Plasma Arc, MIG, TIG and Electron Beam.
Aside from specializing in welding the alloys we extrude, we focus our attention on welding "difficult to weld" alloys and sections such as hastelloy, 347 stainless, inconels, 6-4 Ti, hardened steel and magnesium, to name a few. We work closely with our clients to find innovative solutions to their prototype and production challenges.

Electron Beam Welding (EBW) is a high energy fusion welding process that which uses an intense, narrow beam of electrons. Utilizing high voltage, the electrons are accelerated to between 1/3 and 3/4 of the speed of light creating a highly concentrated energy beam. This narrow beam can be used to create deeply penetrating, narrow welds between metal parts having intimate fit up.
Nu-Tech Precision Metals Joining Technology Division operates Canada's only commercial Electron Beam Welding (EBW) facility. This metal joining technology uses an intense narrow beam of accelerated electrons to fuse metals and dissimilar materials together in a vacuum sealed chamber, producing welds of the highest quality with extreme precision and speed.
Nu-Tech is unique in our operation of Canada's only full commercial Electron Beam Welding facility providing the flexibility of specialized services in the complex joining of all types of precision components. We also offer Plasma Arc and other state-of-the-art welding processes such as MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW).
