Field Hockey BC (FHBC) is the Provincial Sports Organization (PSO) dedicated to supporting and developing field hockey in the province of British Columbia. In partnership with Field Hockey Canada (FHC), we provide opportunities for British Columbians to experience the challenges and rewards of the exciting sport of field hockey.
The game of field hockey is played widely across the world. Field hockey is, in fact, the second largest team sport in the world played in over 100 countries. In Canada it is a popular family orientated sport, played mainly in clubs by both men and women. The game is also played in many schools and offers a lifetime of both sporting and social opportunities for players, officials and administrators alike.
To foster, promote and encourage the development and organization of field hockey within the Province of British Columbia, from the recreational level of participation through to the pursuit of excellence. To develop, promote and administer programs that encourage the development of the sport of field hockey for players, coaches, umpires and volunteers within the Province of BC.
Team Managers are needed for Regional Tournaments and the Provincial Season to liaise between FHBC and provincial teams. FHBC is looking for volunteers for every tournament to help build and tear-down portable infrastructure (tents, tables etc.). We are looking for the unsung heroes who will join us at the crack of dawn and at the end of a long day, rain or shine.
