Services
Douglas Leigh skated under the direction of World Champion Hans Gerschwiler for four years and World and Olympic Silver medalist Karol Divin for two years. He also had the opportunity to train under well known Canadian coach, Sheldon Galbraith who also coached Donald Jackson. His personal skating career as an amateur was short lived as he retired from competitive skating at 16 years of age and finished school.
Team Mariposa is currently offering skaters a Learn to Synchro program for the 2021-2022 season. New and returning synchro skaters, age 5 to 12 are invited to come improve their skating skills, learn synchro elements and be a part of our FUN and growing synchronized skating program.

Synchronized skating is a specialized discipline of skating involving groups of eight or more skaters performing various group formations and maneuvers. The objective is for the team to perform as one unit executing circles, blocks, lines, wheels and intersections in unison to the music, while demonstrating quality edges, power and flow.
