My name is Alan Mott and I started Arborscapes Tree Service in 2006. Before that, I served the City of Kamloops as one of their arborists ('00-'06) and currently contract myself out to them when required. Possessing a strong love for tree and landscape design, I have a diploma in horticulture and landscape design and have been working in the tree service industry since 1993.

Arborscapes is located in the Kamloops area and has been offering a variety of tree and shrubbery maintenance, planting, and removal services since 1993. Fully insured, we offer WCB hazard tree assessments and use time-tested brands for all our horticulture business and landscape designs.
To keep your property looking healthy and beautiful, constant care of your trees and shrubbery is needed. Not only do trees offer shade and a splash of colour to your yard, but can add much needed decoration to a sparse landscape. Keeping your trees healthy means your property stays safe. Decaying or damaged trees may drop branches and other debris to the ground.
As our slogan - "Preserving the Urban Forest" - states, planting trees is something that we promote, and we hope to do a lot more of in the future. Due to the loss of the majority of our pine trees in Kamloops to pine beetle, replanting and regaining our urban forest canopy should be of the utmost importance.
After the removal of your tree(s), we can provide you with a stump grinding service. Our machine grinds the stump into woodchips to a maximum depth of 8"-10" below the soil surface. Large surface roots can also be reduced. Stump chips are usually left until soil replaces the hole and grass seed is applied.
Occasionally in the Kamloops area, we experience severe storm conditions (wind and snow loading). Proper preventative practices such as crown thinning and cleaning as well as cabling and bracing help to preserve trees from storm damage. In the event of large or sudden storms, Arborscapes Tree Service is available to assist in any size of cleanup.

Alan performed a site visit and consultation with me where he provided valuable feedback. A well-priced quote was provided, appointment date was set. I even changed the plan part way thru and they worked with me requests. His team of guys were efficient, quick, safe, and performed an excellent clean up. We had a huge blue spruce fall in our back yard during that horrible windstorm. It just missed our house and pergola. It was an incredible mess and i was overwhelmed to be honest. We called Al and he came in to clean up. When i got home from work, i could hardly tell there had ever been a tree there. The trunk was cut up for firewood as i requested, and my patio and yard were spotless. He came back the next week to grind the stump and nowi have the perfect spot for water feature. Al and the crew did an amazing job for an excellent price and i would highly recommend them! Thank you so much for taking

Alan and his crew did a great job removing 3 large dying cottonwoods for us. The cost was fair / competitive and Alan was friendly, knowledgeable and easy to deal with. Alan and his crew were efficient, safe and cleaned up all debris. I highly recommend and will use again.
