Great atmosphere, good amount of food, and amazingly quick food delivery. They were quite busy and my noodles seemed a little over-cooked, but I still loved the meal! Lots of toppings on the rice bowl I got, and lots of extra stuff at the table that I really appreciated.

Good restaurant. Taste great! I went this restaurant twice in 4 days. It feels great to have a bow of noodle and soup in cold winter.

Fairly pricey for a bowl of pho with a few pieces of meat. Though I can imagine with the cold weather up in NWT, you might be willing to pay the premium for some hot soup. The flavor of the broth is good. And if you like spicy, ask of the house special homemade hot sauce on the side. Better than the generic sriracha knock off.

Satisfied with both food and overall experience. Visited here twice during my stay here and the quality was very consistent. I would recommend their pho (soup with rice vermicelli) and Vietnamese coffee (on ice!)

Came to Taste of Saigon after 7pm on a week night. Thought it would be fairly slow. I was in for a surprise. There was a queue of people waiting to pay, and I thought that I'd have to wait until all those folks were done before even getting seated... no sir. One of the servers saw me and directed me to a table immed.

Was given a menu, and because it had over 10 yrs since I was last in ToS, I had asked about a couple of items on the menu.

Went with the Chicken curry. Thought it would just be the potatoes, chicken in the curry sauce... but wait, it also comes with rice and the server

Tasty Vietnamese. Very similar to places I’ve gone to in Edmonton. Really enjoyed getting deep fried wontons with my meal. The wait staff for fairly friendly, but not super attentive. I had to ask for my bill, then waited about ten minutes before wandering up to find out how to pay. Food was tasty though!

Food was OK, filled the hunger.

The service was .... well it was nonexistent. When we walked in no one acknowledged us, when someone finally saw us they sat us down and walked away. Once served, our server never came by once to see how everything was, no refills on our drinks, and no bill once we were finished. I could see if it was busy but there were maybe a few tables of 2 ppl there.
A little bit of customer service; a smile, acknowledgment, and at least one check in would go a long way.

I will say that the food came out quickly, so if you are in a rush, this place is great.

Food quality was mediocre. If this place was in Vancouver or Toronto I would have given it 1 or 2 stars. However given this is Yellowknife, and there is not much competition for Vietnamese food, I'd rate it as a 3. Just don't expect authentic food.

Prices are much higher than what I'm used to paying. $13 for pho is steep!!

The staff was friendly and very helpful. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, or maybe my expectations are too high, but the food was mediocre. I ordered the chicken noodle soup. The broth was bland, the chicken had been cooked likely a day or 2 before, and the overall effect was not what I was hoping for. But, like I said, the staff was awesome the restaurant was clean, and I'm willing to try them again

For sure my new favorite place to eat. I've always been a huge fan of Pho, whether it's cold outside, or hotter than the gates of Hades. Pho is just one of those things that makes you feel warm and fuzzy, and is perfect if you are not feeling well or have the sniffles.
Saigon has a really great bowl of Pho actually and I was a little relieved that I wouldn't have to give up one of my favorite creature comforts just because I'm living in the middle of the Great white wander!
reasonable prices and half decent service that is actually quite quick, I'll be making this spot

I was pleased to eat at this very good Vietnamese restaurant. I was served a surprisingly good bowl of pho, which I did not expect in the North. The interior of the restaurant is clean and pleasant, and it was lively and evidently quite popular. The service was not particularly attentive, but one goes to a Vietnamese restaurant for the food, not the service. I have pho frequently in other cities and the prices here are higher, as expected in Yellowknife, but they are not outrageous by any means. I will definitely make a point of visiting this place again if I return to this city.
