From our 40,000SQ.FT facility based out of North Bay, Ontario we can custom create anything imaginable made of aluminum or steel from small to massive. We specialize in Mining and Mineral exploration but also do structural steel, heavy weldments and repair and refurbish all kinds of items such as drill shacks, Head frames, Dump trucks and day to day items.
Metal Fab has a 10,000 square foot Conventional and CNC machine shop located within the main warehouse. Using the latest Mastercam software the machine shop features a storehouse of precision equipment such as; a Haas CNC Dual-Spindle turning center, with a Y-Axis that can turn, bore, thread, groove, and drill your machined parts axially and radially.

We host Northern Ontario's largest powder coating oven out of our 10,000Sq. Ft paint and assembly facility. We are known for our quality finish and competitive prices.

Very poor customer service, Exceptionally slow to do work and extremely poor communication. I dropped off a part to be welded, its been 12 months now and I still don't have it back, I keep calling and calling, im told each time that it will be done "this week". Unfortunately at Metal Fab "this week" never comes. Email is seldom replied to and the reception staff are not friendly.

I called for a simple quote, after days of not hearing back I called back. The secretary was short and sounded irritated that I called back. My information was taken again and passed to one of their members to look into my quote, days later, still nothing. I down graded my order for which could be simpler, finally a response. When I called back to proceed with the order they took a message and never heard back. I went elsewhere to complete my order. Much better service elsewhere.

Had great expectations given reviews and what I'd heart about Metal Fab.
Left hand crank for a trailer with them to construct anew out of high strength steel. Called after 2 weeks, "be ready by end of next week". Called following week, "still not ready". Called week number 4...not ready so I attended business to take my part back.Great customer service... having to call the place you've brought your business to... get updates.
No apology. No explanation. "Ya, they just didn't get to it"... was all I was offered after 4 weeks. Didn't seem to care.
I brought the part to shop in Bracebridge...

Metal seems to be hard to find in North Bay. I found metal fab but more than half the time I call or email they never have what I need. At first I didnt mind. I'd order the odd piece of square tubing or plate steel. But this last order I payed good money and when I picked up my order I received a piece of square tubing and a piece of plate steel infested with heavy rust. I've since bathed it in vinegar just to find that it's not just surface rust. Anyways I will continue my elusive search to find a reputable and consistent supplier of metal. Very disapointed considering the price I payed I expected

First impression: Slow, disorganized and rude. Tried to get a time frame on when my order would be ready, kept trying to pass me over to someone else who doesn't return calls. The respetinist is very rude and not welcoming at all. The only redeeming factor was the prices.
Being that this was my first visit. I will give them the benefit. Maybe they where having a bad day. We will see how things go the next visit.
