Duttona Family Campground is located within the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Area (LTVCA), in the Municipality of Dutton/Dunwich. Nestled in a beautiful mature forest above the cliffs of Lake Erie, we offer over 100 seasonal campsites, and several short term camping sites. As new owners, we have a desire for Duttona Family Campground to be an exciting, peaceful, and caring community that will be enjoyed by many.

This used to be a great campground until the new owners took over 2 years ago. They have no respect for the seasonal and were kicking them out super fast for no reason. Friends of ours who has been there over 40 years were evicted for no reason. They always paid there fees and never caused any issues. The last count at the end of the 2021 season atleast 65 seasonals were kicked out or chose to leave. We will never go back and feel we need to warn everyone to stay away.

If you are looking for a site for the 2022 season, there are a lot of sites available at Duttona Family Camp Ground. This place you can enjoy the smell of septic systems , closed wash rooms and very limited swimming pool opening. It is very quiet as the new owners will remind you if you make any noise after 10 pm.

I have only been a seasonal camper at the park for 3 years, the last two under the new owners. Checking the web site and many of their comments they mention the great plans for the park and their dedication to these changes. Unfortunately, their vision did not seem to take into consideration many season campers who have called the park home many for more then 15 years. Some were given notice, some were evicted and others were invited to camp next season only to receive an email a week later stating the owners had reviewed the situation and they would now have to leave at the end of the season.

We found this camp ground online while looking for a place to go camping. The owner’s were very helpful and willing to help. We were only suppose to stay a couple of weeks and ended up staying almost a month. The path to the beach wasn’t too bad we took a inflatable boat down to the water and was able to launch it no problem. It was a awesome time there and the family loved it.

My husband and I have been seasonal campers here for almost 20 years. It wasn't a trailer park, it had become a community, a family. That is until the new owners took over. We're paying for a site for a month that we can't even use. What was once a wonderful place to come to relax and enjoy nature, has now become like a concentration camp. We used to be so excited for the season to start and hated to see it end. This year they dropped a bombshell on us. They raised the lot fees $1000, and told us we had to bring in a newer trailer or we couldn't camp there anymore. We were devastated. We are a

We have been camping around Ontario for many years. This was our first year camping here and loved it. The owners were so wonderful and very friendly. They are knowledgeable of the area and take great care of the campground. We had some difficulties getting our trailer into a spot and they were more then happy to help us, they gave us a larger spot and helped us get the trailer in place. You won’t find that kind of help at other campgrounds. The owners take the time to stop and talk to you and get to know you. They have lots of great plans for the campground and would recommend this campground

Leave the city noise and bright lights behind you. Off the beating path Duttona Family Campgrounds offers a peaceful and tranquil experience. I loved my morning coffee being serenaded by nature every morning and star gazing at night and listening to natures sounds. The scenic path to the water front was enjoyable and so worth the hike, the view was amazing and beautiful. I would like to thank our greeting committee Teresa for assisting us when we arrived and Pauline for the history of the park. We look forward to returning next year

First timers. Many seasonal campers, but all that we interacted with were very friendly. Owners (new) were very welcoming and informative. They shared many of the updates that they would like to make to the grounds. No wifi and very little phone reception, but provided a reason to disconnect. We enjoyed the small path through the woods to the shore line despite there being some things under construction. Pool was very well taken care of and refreshing. We look forward to visiting again once more of the updates have been done. Thank you for a great weekend getaway!

We intended on staying for 3 nights and stayed for 3 hours. We were told that it was a 4 minute walk to the waterfront on a wooded trail. It was our intentions to carry our inflatable paddleboards to the waterfront to do some paddleboarding but the trail was way too treacherous (roots sticking up, steep and muddy). Even if we had been able to safely take our paddleboards down the trail, the shoreline was very narrow and really not suitable for launching a paddleboard or for swimming. The campsite was narrow and we had no trees on our site. As it was during the week, we weren’t too worried as

We just got back from our little mini adventure at Duttona. Both my wife and I loved how friendly all the seasonal people were. As transient campers, we’re used to being snubbed but that was not the case here. We had the largest pull through site to accommodate our 5th wheel. It was no problem getting in or out .
Thank you to all the great seasonal residents and the owner who was very friendly.
The only unfortunate part was the washrooms being closed due to Covid
