In 2015, the Nicola Valley Health Care Auxiliary purchased this bariatric bed for the Nicola Valley Hospital and Health Centre at a cost of $28,505.87. A bariatric bed provides a wider and longer sleep and resting surface, which allows health care workers to deliver care without compromising the patient's dignity.

As it is "taxpayers" that pay for healthcare (even for the parasites on our social systems that don't pay a dime) it is beyond absurd not to at least expect adequate heath care! When Andrew or someone he loves "wake up dead" in a less than competent hospital, I wonder how he'll feel then about leaving a review to warn other patients.

I have been to Merritt Hospital emergency dept twice in the last month. I was seen by a physician in a reasonable time frame consistent with the urgency of my visits. The staff were professional and respectful. No complaints from me.
I would like to make a comment about Dana's previous post where she calls everyone on welfare parasites. In this day and age when many jobs only pay minimal wage there isn't the opportunity to save for the eventuality of loosing a job. For many people if they find themselves out of work welfare is a needy support system. Many people out there only barely make ends
