Since Richard Bourassa founded Bourassa & Associates in 1986, he has seen many changes and evolutions in rehabilitation, treatment, technology, and the world in general.
Physical therapists provide services that develop, maintain and restore people's maximum movement and functional ability. They can help people at any stage of life when movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, diseases, disorders, conditions or environmental factors.

In Saskatchewan, a medical referral is not required to get started with a physical therapist, but check with your insurance provider to determine if they require one for coverage.Your first appointment will take approximately 50 minutes. During this time, your physical therapist will work with you to assess your condition and perform a physical assessment.
In order to give you the most high-quality treatment, a thorough assessment by one of our university-trained therapists must be performed. The initial assessment usually takes anywhere from 20 to 50 minutes and will include a thorough evaluation and treatment if time permits. Following the assessment, treatment appointments will last about 20 minutes.
We examine your injury or condition, build a treatment program, and let you know what to expect. A form of acupuncture, this technique helps reduce pain by releasing trigger points in the muscle. A one-hour private session with a university trained exercise therapist to help build a program designed for you.
