Perched 200 m above sea level on the San Juan Ridge with 160 private acres bordering Provincial Park lands, our view shows very few signs of civilization, making it a great place to feel "away from it all" and catch glimpses of local wildlife while only a 10 minute drive to "downtown" Port Renfrew.
We are just a two hour scenic drive from either Victoria along the scenic Hwy 14, or via Nanaimo through Lake Cowichan along the newly completed Pacific Marine Circle Route, which links Port Renfrew to the rest of the island. Enjoy the scenery or take a hike along the way. While at the lodge, guests will enjoy ocean view accommodation in our Lodge Suites, Yurts or Cabin, complimented by a wonderful hot breakfast included with your stay.

We stayed in the Tanglewood Cabin,
We were given good information about getting back to Port Renfrew as the Pub was the only place we could get a meal and it was due to close soon.
The road is definitely rough and more so in the dark.
There were lots of notices on the walls of our cabin but not one about the password for the WiFi and no answer to the bell at the front desk.
I had booked Soule Creek for my husband's 70th Birthday, and because it included a cooked breakfast, which is something he loves, we picked up our baskets the first morning and were delighted with our breakfasts....

We stayed at Soule Creek for the first time from a Thursday night until Saturday on the beginning of a long weekend. We chose to stay here because it was nearby where our family members were staying. after having read past reviews, we didn't come in with the highest expectations and unfortunately, while it wasn't the worst experience, it was definitely lacking to the point where we do not think we will return in the future.
We stayed in the Pacific Rim Suite which is listed as being in the main lodge. Well, it most certainly is- it is directly across the tiny hallway from the main desk

I was extremely disappointed with this place.
For the amount you pay, I expected at the bare minimum a clean room:
- washroom garbage can was left on the bathroom sink with garbage still in it
- no towels provided
- brown water in the pipes
- dirty towels were left in the bath tub
- all windows and patio door left unlocked and wide open
- not sure if bedding was clean - there were stains on them
The only thing good about this place was the breakfast - we had eggs, bacon, pancakes and some fruit and yogurt. Tasty breakfast but not worth the price tag or unclean room (especially during COVID

Less than 1! A really disappointing stay.
I made a booking for 4 (me and my husband and my 2 daughters (4.5 years and 10months) and they will put a bed for my oldest daughter.
When I arrived, it was written that I made a booking for one, no note for the extra bed!
So she slept on the floor!
No need to talk about the horrible breakfast either.
0 ustensiles or plates or bowls in the room and 0 open restaurant in Port Renfrew

We stayed in Bayview room. THE WATER IS NOT DRINKABLE!!! There has been a constant water boil advisory in effect as I found out after looking at the water and researching it.... We came with a 2 year old and 7 month old.... really glad we had some bottled water with us to wash her bottles etc.. They also provide you coffee in the morning for the coffee maker but no water to make it with??? . They didn't tell us when we checked in that the water wasn't drinkable... or that the satellite wasn't working. The staff was pleasant but when I asked them about each of those on separate occasions, the response

I was very excited to stay here, having wanted to for quite awhile. Prior to going I saw reviews and am glad I did so my expectations were not as high.
Our yurt was clean, but with almost no view (not what was advertised). I do wish that scented washing soap or the like was not used on the sheets etc. because I found the aroma quite overpowering.
In general our stay was fine, but I think the care for it has slipped a bit. Breakfasts were fine, but not always warm or what one would expect from the website (some scrambled eggs, a bit if fruit, and a carb).
The water was a bit brown, similar to

It once was a great lodge with fine dining but the original owners sold it and left due to Covid.
The new owners is the local Indian band and they are letting the place fall apart.
No more dining and only a simple hot breakfast is dropped off to your room.
The water is very yellow even after using a Brita water filter.
At best this is now a bed&breakfast stay.
The internet is very slow and was down 1 day of our 4 day stay in August.
The place is quite isolated and boring so you need to drive to places of interest.
Will not visit Port Renfrew again.

Words fail to describe how special this place is!
We (1 adult and 2 kiddos) stayed in the Qaliyit yurt (Salish Sea), which is nicely secluded and offers incredible views.
Spacious and cozy. Loved the dome top for star gazing. Even during a heat wave, it was nice and cool at night.
With Covid restrictions in place, a delicious hot picnic breakfast was provided in lovely baskets. Food was delicious.
Get ready for a bumpy drive up the hill - but itโs worth it!

We enjoyed our stay at Soule creek lodge. We stayed in the Cheewat yurt, the yurt it self was beautiful. We were disappointed that we had no view (clearly stated we would have a ocean view).
The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast was good although we didn't receive one on our second day, (cook didn't show up).
The lodge definitely needs some attention.
Port Renfrew is absolutely beautiful. We saw some amazing beaches and old growth, also did some great hikes!
Bring food as everything closes down really early, or doesn't even open.
All in all we had a good time. ๐

My stay at Soule Creek Lodge was by far one of the best getaway experiences I've ever had. Situated atop a beautiful mountain in Port Renfrew, it offers breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I stayed in one of the yurts, and I would highly recommend it. In addition, the meals at the on-site restaurant are not to be missed. The quality of the food was excellent, and the service was top-notch.
Although over a year has passed since our visit, my travel companions and I still regularly reminisce about our wonderful stay at the yurt

Soule Creek Lodge is an amazing get away in Port Renfrew. The drive is two hours from Victoria, BC. Owned by two brothers (who are also chefs). If you're looking for a wonderfully unique adventure, in a remote area of Vancouver Island, with a hot tub under the stars, fresh meals made with local ingredients, a panoramic postcard worthy view with all the amenities one needs, then this is your place.
We stayed in the Pandora Yurt. The Yurts look over the Strait of Juna De Fuca and the Olympic Pennisyla. Our Yurt has hardwood floors, a gorgeous view, privacy, serenity and a luxurious wilderness

WOW how do you describe the best lodge, the best gourmet flavorful food, the most comfortable bed and sheets, the nicest of host / owners. the view is incomparable We've been there once before 2 years ago, and it is a place you will always want to return to. The other two reviews are 100% on the money for a great description of a really great place.
Going to see the old growth Avatar forest was easy as the owner has ready maps and easy instructions. They also make box lunches if you're on the run, but also have menus of local spots in case you need local color. They don't serve

This place is run by two incredible chefs tucked away in the western hills of B.C. We got upgraded to their biggest room, and since there were no other guests on the Saturday we came in, we had a private chef for dinner and our first breakfast. The dinner was 3 courses, the main course locally caught salmon with an amazing beurre blanc sauce flavored with lemon and vanilla bean. It was just an embarrassment of riches for the price I paid.
There's "investment-ish" restaurants/hotels you go to that seem like someone did just enough to make it feel nice enough to justify their price

We LOVED our stay at Soule Creek Lodge. The property is perched high on a ridge among the trees with 180 degree views of the Pacific Ocean and Juan de Fuca Strait - you can actually see northern Washington State from the hot tub! The yurts were really fun to stay in - extremely comfortable, peaceful, intimate and romantic. Jon and Tim, the owners, are chefs, and we had full-on delicious breakfast every morning - hearty enough to fuel a long day hike. Dinners were formal gourmet affairs. The whole place is just really, really peaceful - it was EXACTLY what my boyfriend and I were looking
