When Mr. Lacy started the company as Lacy Air Conditioning and the first office was in a 2,000 sf military building over in the O.R.D. section of Greensboro. The building was full of holes and impossible to heat or cool to any comfort level. During the first year Mr. Lacy grew the business and hired new employees.

As a result, the first year of business produced a whopping $27,000 in total sales revenue. Through the decades Central Carolina Air Conditioning has grown from a small air conditioning company in the late 1960s to a statewide organization that serves both residential and commercial customers.

We are usually serviced by Eanes, but due to scheduling we called CCAC to see if they had availability. The technician, Marley, was very professional and on time. Upon arrival we discussed the issue we were having and she quickly found the problem. There was one thing she was unsure of, but instead of "winging it" she immediately phoned a supervisor regarding the uncertainty and ensure everything was correct. Greatly appreciate her time and generosity. Definitely recommend if you need servicing for your HVAC systems.

I initially gave this company one star due to the miscommunication mentioned below. They took the time to call me, listen to my concerns and made it right. It truly seems to me they care about creating a positive customer experience.

Solid service, but make sure you ask the right questions about the cost of the repair. I was verbally quoted a price and agreed to it, then when it came time to pay was told the price I agreed to did not include the $95 service call, even though I made sure to ask if the quoted price covered everything. Very disappointing. Wish I had read some of the other reviews

If you plan on using these people get a 2nd quote. They charged me double what it should have cost. I found this out when I called another service. You can save money by just getting a 2nd quote even if it costs you a 100 bucks to do so. They are rip off artists,

Be aware that this company is not requiring that their plumbers be vaccinated, but more importantly, are unwilling to even consider sending a plumber who may happen to be vaccinated to a customer who requests a vaccinated plumber. Unfortunate, as my limited experience with this company had been positive (indeed, I’d recommended them to others, hence the 3-star review).

I have been a customer for 20 + years and the technicians are excellent - knowledgeable, hardworking, kind and careful to explain in understandable terms what is needed (if anything) and the condition of the unit plus other home considerations. I am also impressed by their customer service - the ones who set the appointments and follow up. I am a satisfied long-term customer! Thank you for taking such good care of my equipment and my needs throughout the many years!

Furnace checkup was part of our annual service contract. It's not cheap but it's worth it to have a pro look over our systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing). Only call CCAC if you want the best.
