Services
Sheri's primary role is receptionist. She works hard to schedule appointments to suit your needs. She is also a valuable addition to the clinic where she takes impressions, photos, and X-rays for our new patients. She loves seeing the transformations our patients go through, both in their smiles and self-esteem, from the beginning to the end of their treatment.
Dr. Stuart Matheson grew up in Sydney, Nova Scotia. After finishing high school, he left home to study at Mount Allison University. Frequent dental appointments during his college years sparked an interest in dentistry and prompted him to continue his studies at McGill Dental School.
At McGill, it was common to enhance dental education with a one-year hospital residency, and Dr. Matheson was fortunate to receive a position at the Montreal Children's Hospital.Following this wonderful experience, he spent a few years in the working world, concentrating on pediatric dentistry, first in rural Saskatchewan and then back home in the Maritimes.

Your first visit to our office will be a orthodontic exam for you or your child. The doctor will carefully examine the teeth for a wide range of possible orthodontic problems, such as crowding, cross-bite, gaps, etc. Once the doctor has a clear picture of the most likely course of treatment, we'll discuss what type of treatment is necessary and how long it will take, and offer an estimate of how much it will cost.
The cost of your orthodontic treatment may vary depending on your individual needs and treatment plan. During your visit, we'll discuss with you the cost of your treatment and each of your available payment plan options, so you are able to make the best choice for you and your smile. We will work with you to create a payment plan that fits your budget, and you will know what to expect before beginning treatment.
Our practice recognizes that adults and children have different needs and require different levels of attention and care. We will work with you to ensure you receive the most appropriate treatments and your needs are met with understanding, respect, and full commitment from us. While there is no exact age for children to begin orthodontic treatment, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists recommends a visit to the orthodontist around age seven.
