The Gallery Upstairs has been a destination spot in Milton for 45 years! Once located in the Harrop House, a century old stone house located in Milton, Ontario, that featured the Harrop Restaurant and Art Gallery; it has since moved to it's current location at 3 Mill Street in Milton, Ontario. Over the years, many artists displayed their work at the Harrop House and grew their following and reputation through us.
The Gallery Upstairs offers a variety of standard and custom framing options. Custom framing completes the look of your piece for our space, and can be a fabulous way to preserve and display art, awards, keepsakes and other memorabilia - that might otherwise be put away and forgotten. Helping you create unique one of a kind gifts.
The Gallery Upstairs features permanent art collections from Afrika to You, Castart Studios and a rotating Estate Art Collection. The Gallery Upstairs curates a Featured Collection that rotates throughout the year. The Fall Into Art Collection is a selection of original landscape artwork from local artists Anne More, Fiona Hoop, Pat McGoey, Tina Newlove, and other art pieces from our Estate Art Collection.
The Afrika To You Collection became a permanent collection in Winter 2019. Authentic African sculptures made of metal, pewter, stone, and wood handcrafted by African artists and imported. Many sculptures depict animals from Africa including lions, giraffes, elephants, tigers, jaguars, zebras, geckos, hippos, and more.
The Castart Studios Collection is Canadian made by innovative leaders in the concrete casting industry, producing original designs in sculpture, faces, statues, ornaments, birdbaths, water features, benches, lanterns, planters, and more! These unique designs tend to be based on art history. All sculptures are suitable for outdoor use, being manufactured from proprietary blends of concrete and having unique weather resistant finishes applied.

I met Hedi today, the lovely owner of this beautiful gallery. We had the chance to sit in her very zen garden and chat about life. What a wonderful woman with a very large heart. Not only does she having stunning pieces in her gallery and around her outdoor garden, but she is a huge supporter of our community. She is involved in many different… local charities. The Gallery Upstairs has always been one of my favourite little shops in Milton for gifts and local treats. Hedi is a local curator of great gift items and snacks (jams, kombucha, etc - things you could find at… the Milton farmer's market). She is friendly and communicative and well priced. I recently got my canvas stretched at Hedi's after going to her and Michael's to get a quote for stretching and framing. Went to the Gallery Upstairs for a drive on Sunday just to look at was there...deep down hoping to see the fairy doors. Unfortunately the doors were gone but had so much amazing stuff....bought some delicious… jam, and the most beautiful garden mask....so many beautiful things. will be going back again... We had an old oil painting we had found cleaning out our parents’ garage that was nice but a little dirty and damaged. Hedy had it cleaned and fixed and did a fantastic job of helping us choose a frame for it! It has gone from heading to the garbage to being a cherished part of our art collection!! And the price was very reasonable! Highly recommend for framing and restoration!
