Charming old hotel with nice clean rooms. The bed and pillows were comfy and had some lovely old furniture. Would have given a 5 star except we notice that the soundproofing was a little weak and it was difficult to control the heating. Because their dinning room was closed for breakfast, they provided us with bagged breakfasts (juice, fruit, yogurt, muffin, cheese) Ate in the dinning room for dinner and it was excellent.

Staff were outstanding, professional and friendly. Rooms are quite nice but carpets were a little on the dirty side, as in they needed to be vacuumed. We ate in and it was a big group so the food came out a little bit like off a production line, but the service again was awesome.

We celebrated our honeymoon with a beautiful dinner. The lobster shrimp fettuccine was the best fettuccine I have ever eaten! The atmosphere alone is worth the visit, such a beautiful building. Our server was Bri and she was fantastic.

5***** isn't enough for the Grant Hotel... Hands down the most phenomenal customer service ever. Had an issue with the booking.com reservation and the hotel staff went above and beyond to correct the issue and accomodate us! Thank you for such an amazing experience!

This is a Review of the restaurant within the hotel.
On July 24th I sent an email as follows, but never received a response until Aug 14th, two times after I asked then to respond. The response was very poor, and not appropriate to a hotel that purports itself to provide excellence.
Sadly, our dining experience was not close to expectations.
I believe in providing feedback, and giving a company an opportunity to respond before blasting on social media.
Our dinner seating was to start at 7, and we arrived about 7:15, as out tour ran a little long.
We were asked to wait in the lobby for a few

We went to the Grant Hall for the first time last night and were delighted. We had the crispy artichokes, rack of lamb and rib eye steak. All of it was flavourful, tender and balanced. Our server was amazing. The wine our server suggested was perfect with my meal. I forget which ones but she can’t tell you. She was Friendly, helpful and does her job very well.
Michael’s only complaint was that the table wasn’t completely square to the room but he was able to fix it with a little wiggle. At that point we experienced complete satisfaction.
Will definitely be back!

Party of 4 for dinner on Saturday night and breakfast Monday morning.
At BOTH meals, the service was abysmal--very, very slow. Didn't get the brand of Pinot Gris we ordered, although the one we were given was good. Dining room is beautiful. Appetizers were excellent, main meal nice presentation but average. 2/4 people who ordered type of potato didn't get it--instead got what the meal was "supposed" to have with it? Not sure.

Elected to order our breakfast as continental was pretty basic and unappealing. Bacon and eggs were same as anywhere else. Coffee service poor

Grant Hall was our choice for a birthday celebration dinner. The atmosphere of the lobby, lounge and restaurant was outstanding. The four of us all had differing entrees, and all were prepared to perfection. All staff that we encountered were extremely friendly and pleasant. The only thing that we could say that kept us from giving Grant Hall Dining Room & Lounge a 5 star rating was the slow service in clearing the table. That aside, I would most definitely recommend Grant Hall for any special occasion or just a nice night out for a delicious meal.

Beautiful restaurant and hotel. We stayed a night and had a good supper. Calamari was a good appetizer. My partner was not impressed with their soup but thoroughly enjoyed the trout plate she ordered. I had the rib eye steak which was quite good. We ordered creme brule for desert and they certainly need some work on that dish. The service was good. Overall great restaurant but some of their dishes need some refining.

Beautiful atmosphere would recommend to anyone! My husbands steak was cooked perfect at medium rare and my scallops and shrimp were delish! We also stayed right at the hotel it was very nice and clean!

It is hard to give this place only a 4 star review as I always try and look for the good but I am an extremely particular person and tend to grade on a curve because of that, and want to be fair to my 5 star reviews. My standards are set by my best experiences and although there are many wonderful attributes of this dining hall there are important points that are the reason I have to say 4 not 5 stars. The atmosphere and ambiance are lovely, I loved everything about the decor. Based on the crowd they seemingly cater to a slightly "older clientele" which is why I was surprised by the

Beautiful restaurant. Great service. But best part is the food. My wife had the trout and it was delicious. I had the fresh greens salad to start and the ribeye steak. Steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and delicious. It was also served with an amazing chimichurri sauce. We will definitely come back.

We had brunch and it was average. The selection and quality do not live up to the decor. There were no waffles or French toast - a staple at most brunches. I do respect the hollandaise being made from scratch - not many places do that. However, a mushy English muffin and a lack of cayenne made the the Eggs Benedict a little lacking.

First of all, the decor is a feast for the eyes. It feels fancy and looks gorgeous! They have restored that old building very well. Additionally, Moose Jaw is severely lacking in places to eat where it wouldn't be weird to be dressed up and where they actually use linens at the table. So having the opportunity to be dressed up for a meal is actually a welcome novelty in Moose Jaw.

All in all the food was decent. I had the Grilled Vegetable Openface Sandwich with Camembert and a side of Roasted Fingerling Potatoes. The grilled veggies were quite good but definitely too heavy on the red onions

Lovely decor, very nice server. I had the lobster angel hair pasta, which was very, very good. My colleague had the honey mustard chicken, which was pretty bad. A bit pricey.
