Rit has been famously crowned the Halloween go-to for getting the exact color you need for a budget-friendly costume. Not your grandmother's velvet pumpkins. We took the classic fall table decor staple and gave it a colorful, tie-dye twist with Rit DyeMore for Synthetics.
Sustainabilityand the reuse of garments already in circulation are key aspects of Collina Strada's design process so it's no surprise that we found Rit Dye bottles scattered around their studio during our visit. We had the pleasure of visiting Kiva Motnyk at Thompson Street Studio to get a behind-the-scenes look at her dyeing process.

A tried and true classic that's been dyeing your goods new and old for over 100 years. Rit All-Purpose Dye is here to add a bit of dazzle to natural fabrics like cotton, wool, and silk, as well as synthetics like nylon and rayon. A simple, non-toxic way to bring the color of your choice to garments, household items, and more.
What Rit made so popular in the 60's is still so popular today. With just a few rubber bands, you can fold, twist, pleat and crumple fabric to achieve fun, bold (and psychedelic) patterns. Shibori is a Japanese dyeing technique that typically involves folding, twisting or bunching cloth and binding it, then dyeing it in indigo.
Is your favorite black clothing faded? Now with Rit's Back to Black Dye Kit, you can restore clothing back to a rich black in just a few easy steps. This kit can also be used to overdye clothing of any color to a vibrant black. And for tie-dyeing too! Included is Jet Black All-Purpose Dye, our darkest, richest black ever.
Scrambling to find the supplies you need to tie-dye? Look no further than our tie-dye accessory kit, which includes 3 perfectly-sized squeeze bottles, 20 rubber bands, two pairs of protective gloves and a microwaveable tray to speed up the dyeing process. Pair this kit with your favorite Rit All-Purpose Dyes to create a world of color bound only by your imagination.

Hip hip hooray for Rit Dye. That stuff is amazing! I've been Spring cleaning and feeling like my apartment needed a pick-me-up. Hell, I'll admit it ... I wanted something new. Rit did the trick. I dyed my white curtains teal. It was pretty easy, fast, and most important, the color came out EXACTLY how I had imagined it in my head. You'd never guess the curtains were dyed. I called customer service with a few questions beforehand and the rep I spoke to was so nice and helpful. He even wished me good luck!
