When I reflect on how I chose 'psychologist' for my career, I can see that I always had a natural curiously about people. I was fascinated what motivated them and what helped them change. The fascination deepened with time and I eventually made the decision to return to school. It took me a while to make that decision though.

I really didn't want to go to school for such a long time. I took a detour to work as a court reporter but the desire to be a psychologist persisted. I completed my Bachelor Degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University. From there I went to the University of Alberta in Edmonton where I completed both my Master's Degree and Ph.
Services
People will often see me for help understanding and dealing with relationship problems, including jealousy, intimacy, anger, career, money, and children or problems experiencing a pattern of unsuccessful relationships. In addition, I assist people who are stressed, feeling overwhelmed, or feeling generally dissatisfied with life.
My work with clients is very collaborative. My style of therapy is process-experiential which means we focus on your experience in the moment. Even if the problem you are discussing is from the past, the way it impacts you is in the present. As we focus on your experience, I use different interventions to help facilitate integration between the mind and the body.
Telehealth, often referred to as online counselling or virtual counselling, is a way of providing services to clients through a virtual and secure confidential platform or over the telephone. It can be used for most regular face to face services that are offered and is a convenient way to connect if it's difficult for you to come into the office or if you live outside Vancouver, but in British Columbia.
Anxiety can keep you from living your life to the fullest. Intense feelings of fear and worry can drive you to avoidance, prompting you to walk away from career opportunities, new friendships, or new experiences you might have loved. But you have to deal with the anxiety somehow. Anxiety isn't dangerous, but it can create problems.
Any frightening, life-threatening, or violent event can be traumatic. At its most severe, PTSD, or post-traumatic stress disorder, can result. Traumatic symptoms can include disturbing thoughts, nightmares, reactions, and certain behaviors that can continue for years after the initial event has ended.
