All of our immaculate rooms have a magnificent, 180-degree view of the snow-capped Olympic Mountains across the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Nestled in a quaint residential area, with the ocean for a neighbour, the Surf Motel is a vacationer's paradise. This small treasure of a motel was built in 1960 by Hans Peter Mangelsen and is still operated as a family business.

We're within walking distance of Victoria's famous Inner Harbour, the lush and beautiful Beacon Hill Park, and many other exciting attractions. Walk the seawall or go scuba diving, it's all here! Beach front Dallas Road is where you will find the locals out enjoying Victoria at its best. Come experience our gracious hospitality and indulge yourself in the pleasures of our unique oceanfront accommodations.
Services
In addition to kitchenettes, all of our rooms feature direct dial phones, cable TV, wireless internet connection, oceanfront balconies and are 100% non-smoking. Our convenient elevator, free off-street parking and location right on a main bus route make us the perfect place to call home while in Victoria.

Stayed for 4 days in October and couldn’t have been happier - amazing views. Could sit in bed and look at waves. Fantastic location, lots of great walking around, close to inner harbour but better cause you’re on the ocean.
Loved the immaculately clean, retro feel of the room, with full kitchen. I picked up a few groceries and made us coffee and breakfast every morning.
Loved it! Thanks so much for keeping up this gem!

Spectacular Views...Wow! Inside the room was retro fashion: immaculate and clean. The problems start with the outside fluorescent signage lighting and vertical blinds, which left the room a little too lit up at night. There was also little insulation in walls, etc., so privacy and sleep were not assured. All told, in fairness, the location is superb, the staff are excellent and environment is friendly and congenial.

This place is GREAT! It is preserved as a 1960's 1970's motel and it is 1 block away from all the tourists attractions. The best part is the value we stayed there in the peak of tourist season for just under 200.00 a night. It over looks the ocean and the owners are friendly too!

Large rooms with balconies and panoramic views of the ocean. Very large beds, kitchenettes - everything in great shape and very clean.
No breakfast served in the hotel, but there are nearby restaurants.
Within walking distance to the ferry and downtown. We were delighted with our experience and will not consider staying anywhere else on our next visit to Victoria.
