The company began by selling car parts for imported vehicles and, in 1979, expanded into the repair and towing business when we moved to an Esso station on highway 11.

Today I ended up in the ditch and these guys an gals (sorry I forget names as I was pretty out to lunch after) got my truck out and a friendly husband an wife combo! I would deff recommend them. Doug and Sue, two excellent selfless people with a heart within the tow trucking industry. Could not ask for a better pair to get you unstuck and just to talk to you within that time of hauling you out. Great people and reliable to most likely get you out of trouble. Visiting Huntsville and car wouldn't start. The person that answered the phone told me guy would come out in about 30 mins. He was there in much less. I expected the worst when you hear about tow truck drivers. This guy was great! I think his name was Doug. He chatted for a few mins and gave us a few tips after the boost. Also well priced compared to Lexus and 2 other places I called before then!

While my wife and I were camping in Algonquin Park our van began giving us trouble. Through our roadside assistance plan we were able to arrange a tow to get our van serviced in Huntsville. (Roughly 80km away) I was preparing myself for a long awkward ride but Doug was an absolute delight. We talked the whole way there and he also handled my van professionally and with care. (And gave me some helpful car advice!) We aren't from the area but if we ever come back and happen to have car trouble I know exactly who to call!

I can't say enough about the kindness and professionalism Doug and Joe a few days ago when I was in a bind. They were calm, methodical and extremely helpful in getting my baby out of a jam as well as explaining everything that was being done. Doug was incredible. We were canoeing at access point 4 in Algonquin, when I noticed I have a flat tire. We drove slowly to Kearney, and I made the call to Infiniti Roadside Assistance. They told me Northern Import Auto Supply was coming. When Doug showed up, he was professional, and courteous. He put blocks underneath my tires to my bumper and exhaust pipes wouldn’t scrape. He really looks after the small detail. He drove us close to 200 km to the nearest dealership. I would highly recommend this company to others! Thanks for your help, Doug!

I got my car stuck leaving the cottage on January 1, 2018 and Doug arrived within 40 minutes of placing the call - on a holiday! He worked quickly and was able to tow the car out of the ditch - the whole process was less than 30 minutes. He was pleasant and charged a very fair price. I would absolutely use Northern Import again (hopefully I won't have to). Thank you Doug!

Had a wonderful experience with Doug and Northern Import which was the great culmination of an otherwise pretty crappy and stressful day. Our SUV wouldn't start and Northern Import was sent by Mercedes Roadside Assistance to take our vehicle from outside of Huntsville to Barrie. On a Sunday, when the dealership wasn't open, no car rentals were open and my wife and our two young children were looking at a five hour bus ride to get home.
Doug made the few minute walk down our icy driveway to see if he could actually get his truck down there (he wouldn't have been able to) and then fixed our issue
