Winderberry Greenhouses & Nursery
First established in the 1960s, Winderberry Nursery came under the care of green-thumbed, thoughtful-hearted Jack Steedman and Glenda Wah in 1984. From two greenhouses, 2,500 square feet and a sell-out by June of that first year, the business has expanded over 35+ years to 25,000 square feet of greenhouse space along with a nursery specializing in hardy trees, shrubs and perennials, operating from March through October every year.

While Glenda and Jack remain the heartbeat of Winderberry, and are still involved in many aspects of the business, the next generation of family farmers have brought a new and renewed focus on innovative gardening, spectacular flowers and farm-to-table dining (meals serving the local community and summer time visitors to the Columbia Valley) to both commercial and retail customers in BC and Alberta.
Services
Join us for a family style dinner on our abundant farm with stunning mountain views while we take you on a culinary journey through the flavour, layers and texture that our certified organic veggies have to offer! Annual Harvest Market ~ organic veggies, treats and many delicious farm fresh soups at the cafe.
We are a family-owned and -operated business providing both commercial and retail customers with innovative plant material and design. Winderberry is one of the largest independent garden centres in the Windermere Valley. We are stewards of the horticultural industry, trying to be as mindful as possible about our environment and health of our community.
More then 35 varieties in stock now. From blues and greens, to burgundy and pinks, soft and smooth to spiky and shinny. Low maintenance, easy to grow, low water requirements, great house plants. They provide colour, texture, and personality to your garden patio and not to mention they are delightful, creative and provide endless possibilities to create fun combinations.
We carefully select the perennials and ornamental grasses for our zonal area, which is zone 3/4. There are far too many to list here, but we have a range of spring, summer and fall blooming perennials. If you are looking for advice on which perennials are good for your garden, then please come and see us at the Greenhouse ~ we are happy to suggest and show you the many different options available.
We would be happy to decorate your home, business, or wedding with a splash of colour and sweet smells. Ask us for details about flower arrangements. Each season Winderberry dedicates a set amount of greenhouse growing area to offer our commercial customers the opportunity to pre-order larger volumes of annual flowers, hanging baskets and planters.

Stopped at Edibles Cafe for a quick lunch after a couple hours of lake time in Windermere. We picked up two grilled cheese sandwiches for the kids, along with a falafel and the BLTCC with a side salad with their lemon dill dressing. The kids gobbled up their grilled cheese like no tomorrow. It had nice gooey cheese on an artisan bread that smelt so delicious. The falafel was amazing as was the BLTCC! We ended up going back the next day to pick up their Great Scape Roasted Garlic Dip (as they were sold out when we stopped for lunch), which is so delicious and flavourful (great on crackers or with

This is a little gem in the forest so to speak. Just down the Inveremere highway 93 95 south. Has lush flowers and plants and also a Cafe/takeout restaurant attached with the best soups and pot pies.

What a gem of a find for visitors! Local honey from beehives on site and delightful food made with love. Stop in and have a cup of coffee and some amazing desserts, including a tasty carrot cake that's not overly sweet. Pork! Soups! Cider and more! We will be back! Thank you for your hospitality.
