We've got the latest music powered by on-site internet and iTunes, top of the line lighting/sound, and interactive DJs that know how to put on a wicked show for a young audience. Mobile internet means that we can offer one of the best music selections in the industry. We know how important current music and radio edited music is at a school dance.
We can offer a variety of live music options, but classical guitar is by far our most popular option. Illuminated dance floor panels have come a long ways since the disco era with cutting edge LED lighting technology. Computer programming and thousands of LED lights illuminate mesmerizing transparent panels. Sometimes mirrors are used to intensify the effect (infinity LED dance floor). We had Sean play for our associations New Years party. He was friendly and accomodating from the very beginning. He met with us before our event, went over everything and answered all our questions, and we had complete faith in him to do a great job from this time.
During the event he accomodated all the set up to our needs and was consistent in ensuring that the sound met the same standard throughout the event which was a really nice thing to see. He even played a little guitar for us which was really loved by our guests.

1 star because there is no option for 0 stars. I was one of the MCs for a wedding last weekend and my wife was the wedding coordinator. My wife tried introducing me to Sean as we were there checking in on the venue prior to the reception, but he was unreceptive from the beginning. She and the hotel staff felt that he was difficult to work with and he had to be asked firmly multiple times to respect the layout that the bride and groom had asked for. I notified him that we were going to start the shoe game and expected a break from his guitar playing (which with folk, wasnt the type of genre to set

I’d like to start by prefacing that I was the Maid of Honor and sister of the bride at the wedding that Sean Goebel (owner of 1st in Entertainment) DJ’d at last weekend. So I completely understand how the clients wished for the evening to go.
Sean was awful. Thank you Sean at 1st in Entertainment DJ for providing fantastic music at our school dance! The kids at Panorama Hills School (K-4) absolutely loved every minute of the dance - from the music, to the lights, and the fog machine - it was all top notch! We especially loved how Sean interacted with the kids, and let them use some of the equipment...they couldn't get enough of the fog! :)
Sean was extremely helpful when we were planning our event, and always replied to emails in a timely fashion. He was professional from start to finish.

We just wrapped up our third event working with 1st in entertainment, our DJ last night was Moe, and was great to work with. He had the perfect volume so guests could still chat, but kept the dancers on the floor. Requests were warmly received and played right away.
Again, another fantastic evening, the reviews from our guests were great food, great venue, and great music!

Highly recommended!! I was incredibly impressed with this company. I requested a quote online and was immediately contacted by Sean to answer my questions and provide a ton of useful information to help plan our wedding. We wanted to have live guitar for our ceremony and then a really fun DJ for the reception. Sean was able to satisfy all of these things, and went above and beyond with his ability to learn a song we requested on the guitar for me to walk down the aisle to. We had Sean out DJing our Client Appreciation night at SURFSET YYC Fitness & Wellness Studio last week and it was a great experience! Sean was very professional, ensuring he was early enough to set up and get organized before crowd came. The DJ aspect made the night super fun and the song selections were perfect for the fitness classes. We'll definitely have 1st in Entertainment back again for another fun DJ and fitness night!

Sean was our DJ and he was professional, personable and his confidence behind the mic and positive energy was contagious!
Our outdoor event was on the coldest day of the year-- Sean came prepared for the elements-- he knew what he was doing and his setup of the audio system worked perfectly for the outdoors.
As a bonus, he brought lights and even a smoke machine! People of all ages attended the event loved the mix of music and enjoyed skating to all the tunes!!

Sean's professionalism and eagerness to help greatly reduced our stress and assisted in making our wedding day amazing. We did not have to worry about background or ceremony music and the dance floor was packed all night. The lights were also quite wonderful!

The music was awesome and it worked really well with that venue, that the music was a good volume on the dance floor and not so loud you couldn't speak when sitting at the tables. Very professional and understanding when dealing with the bride and groom's requests. Especially at the wedding when the announcements were just being fed to DJ Sean as I was thinking of them. The music selection was awesome, the dance floor was often full and when it wasn't you switched songs to get the guests back up.
