Victoria Inn Brandon-Hotel & Convention Centre

Nice rooms, friendly staff, alot of people that loiter around the hotel and ask for "darts". The rooms have been renovated and have decent T.V's. Internet is hit or miss, it is good when it works but kicks me off every so often. It's ok for a night or two but nothing extended.

Fun water park for the kids, the water was a little cool but the hot tub is big and not too hot for the kids. You can get some good speed on the slide also 😁 Next time we pass through Thunder Bay I will visit this hotel again and request a suit with sliding doors to the water park.

Rooms were nice but the one maintenance guy was super friendly and talkative. He made my family feel super welcome and went far and beyond requirement more than once. My wife wishes she got his name.

Had a really bad experience. The first thing you notice is some kinda smell when you enter the room. They gave us the ground floor and it was really horrible. Someone was close to our window and playing loud songs on phone. I opened the curtain and they were looking right into me. I couldn't even sleep properly since there were constant loud noises and people speaking in the corridor. Would not recommend this place and I wouldn't stay here ever again.

Looks like the pics very nice rooms clean. No breakfast. Did smell like cigarette smoke carpets did need cleaning. Pool is awesome good restaurant for food. I do recommend.

Terrible place to stay... the receptionist was rude. Go to the room it was hot, sweaty feeling and had a weird smell. Called the reception she said we could have a fan, wait 30 mins no fan, went down to reception she said it was on the way with a maid. Came back waited a hour and called again. Had to wait over a hour and a half for a fan while in a boiling room and being tired from a long trip, just to get a fan. At check out in the morning receptionist didn’t even bother asking about our stay.
Ps. Don’t bother using any 5%-10% discounted prices for rooms. They won’t serve breakfast to make

The carpet in the room needs major cleaning. I did mention it to the front desk staff member. We were careful to not have our luggage and items on the floor. It was quiet otherwise. We had requested a poolside room but check in for that was not until 3. We went ahead and checked into the other regular room because we were all tired & had a good amount of luggage. I like any room I check into to be clean as I go out of my way to keep it that way when I check in at any hotel.

I don't even know what to say right now. Me and my wife are posted military. On 31 July we had driven here all the way from Winnipeg only to find a town with 0 rooms available and nothing else around for hours. I had no idea what to do. We were exhausted and starving, and the staff here went out of their way and got us a room for the night. I cannot possibly thank them enough for the kindness they showed me. I honestly feel that 5 stars isn't enough. The room was amazing, but the staff were the real heroes tonight. Thank you so much.

The check in staff were pleasant and efficient even though it was 1a.m. They have security on site which is nice. The rooms were clean, very soft mattresses on the beds. Coffee, microwave and fridge in our room. Lots of hot water for my wife and daughters. Staff make the experience enjoyable.

Staff was efficient and friendly. Although in need of upgrades a good restful night. We ordered from the hotel menu and it was delivered and it was delicious. If the water slides and other amenities weren’t hindered by COVID restrictions it was worth the cost. First Nations Communities in the far north are sadly lacking medical care, and this caring hotel provides accommodations for them when they need medical care. The hotel is handy to everything you could need. The airport only 2 km away. Our night was quiet and restful. Thank You!
