WinRecs is MED2020 Health Care Software Inc.'s flagship application and the Canadian health information industry's leading data collection and abstracting software. In addition to the WinRecs Version 2 series, WinRecs Version 3 gives a new face to the trusted and reliable health information management software known so well to healthcare professionals across Canada.
MED2020 offers a wide variety of products that work with the WinRecs core for collecting clean data that allows for submitting to the CIHI reporting system and other health authorities. Each solution is integrated into WinRecs as a module as part of a shared database. The WinRecs Suite of Products provides solutions for Inpatient, Clinical and Ambulatory Care Services, including modules for DAD, NACRS, CJRR, Cancer Care, OHMRS, NRS and CCRS.
The Visit History module is used mainly for chart management within a hospital or facility. Visit history captures both abstracted records and non-abstracted records. The Visit History module contains patient / client demographics, admission / discharge information, visit information, and record information.
In order to facilitate extensive and detailed data mining at the hospital, regional or provincial level, MED2020 offers a comprehensive data repository solution. A regional solution is defined as a WinRecs implementation for a group of hospitals or sites using a single WinRecs installation. In this environment, each hospital can store and work with patient data independently from other sites in the regional solution.
