Scott McKay Contracting Ltd. has successfully completed numerous new construction projects. Our team members have a wide range of experience and our key people are long time employees.

We are equipped to take on any project, large or small, with a full and modern range of labour saving equipment, including an auger truck/crane, several self-propelled man lifts of varying sizes, large and small trenchers, a skid steer loader, dump trailer and equipment trailers, as well as specialized electrical tools including power benders, power cable pullers, hydraulic knockout cutters and concrete cutting equipment.

Scott McKay Contracting Ltd. has a dedicated team that looks after our service work. We are fully insured, WCB covered and bondable. Our service vans are fully tooled and stocked. We also keep an inventory valued at approximately $100K at our warehouse.

What this means to you is quicker completion of your project, whether it be a simple lighting repair or fixture replacement or a more complex job such as upgrading panels and electrical system renovations, hot tub installations, or data, telephone or television cabling.We service all backlit signs and with our own equipment can reach heights of 53 feet.

At Scott McKay Contracting Ltd. we do cabling installations that range in size from single outlet additions to complete data networks, and in fact recently completed a very large two location Category 6 network consisting of over 700 outlets, with a fibre backbone tie and tested to the latest EIA/TIA standards.

The safety of our employees and our customers is a top priority at Scott McKay ContractingLtd. In 2002 we introduced a company safety policy and program. Although not COR recognized, our policy has been reviewed and approved by project managers from the Government of Canada and ATCO Electric. To abide by accident prevention regulations set forth by the federal, provincial and local governments.

Our main focus is commercial electrical construction, although we do have a full time service and maintenance department. We maintain a safety program with regularly scheduled meetings and one of our permanent full time electricians doubles as our Safety Coordinator. All of our employees, including principals are fully covered by WCB, and of course we maintain adequate contractors insurance.
