Carrington Animal Hospital is proud to serve the Westbank BC area for everything pet related. Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Grellan O'Reilly, who is a licensed, experienced Westbank veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Dr. O'Reilly's love of animals created an interest early in his life for veterinary medicine. After graduating from the renowned University College Dublin in 1978, Dr. O'Reilly practiced in Ireland and Saskatchewan before choosing the sunny Okanagan to open Kelowna veterinary Carrington Animal Hospital.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.

The staff and doctor were excellent. They' d come out to my car to do the sign-in and take my dog. They returned with my dog and the doctor came out to talk. He was thorough and didn't rush through details of the visit. He didn't try to sell me anything. The whole visit and items I chose to purchase was very reasonable in price compared to other experiences. And my pup did t try to bolt out of the clinic. She seemed comfortable and happy.

I came here years ago with my dog and thought they were great , so now when my cat needed a vet I phoned them . Unfortunately they told me that I should go see a veterinarian as soon as possible but they were to busy .( not enough vets due to covid ) the next vet I phoned the one next to pepper pot same thing , only regular patients . Not easy to see a vet these days .

i moved to this area recently and was going to a vet nearby for my dogs but they weren't really professional with my dogs, i needed an urgent appointment with my dog and they refused while Carrington Animal Hospital gave me a spot the same day even thought they were busy.

My experience with Carrington Animal hospital was excellent. As an out of towner I was anxious to find rapid help for my dog who was suddenly ill. I was able to get a next day appointment and had quick diagnosis and treatment. Dr. O'Reilly and his staff were so caring and reassuring. The follow-up too was wonderful with two phone calls checking up on how my dog was feeling. Comforting to know I have a vet nearby when I'm staying in this area!

Dr O’Reilly & all the staff at Carrington Animal Hospital are always kind & professional. We had to send our beloved Clancy Cat III on his journey to the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge yesterday. Thanks to Dr O’Reilly, Clancy had a painless, peaceful passing. While I cuddled our kitty we had a wee kitty wake as we shared kitty stories, some funny, some poignant. When the time comes for another kitty to join our family we know Carrington Animal Hospital will be there to look after their health needs. Thank you to all of you! 🤗💕😻
