Since opening my first shop back in 1997, I have continued to build not only furniture but also expanded into kitchen and bathroom cabinetry. We are a small local shop at 4724 Roger St. in Port Alberni which has grown due to hardwork and a loyal customer base.

For questions regarding sale and pricing contact James at any of the contact sources. The pricing of pieces reflect the time, quality of materials, and craftsmanship which go into each piece. All pieces are custom built one piece at a time, for one client at a time. Taking into consideration, the clients personal taste and choices, of wood and construction style.

His terms are 50/40/10 which is typical for the industry. The issue is once he received the initial payment of 50% he wouldn't answer calls or texts. After months and months of trying to get ahold of him he finally showed up asking for more money. He is a scummy scam artist.

You would think after screwing so many people on the west coast (Port Alberni to Tofino) he would invest some of the money he received on a level.
After getting completely screwed over by Pacific Rim Designs/James and hiring an actually skilled and professional company we are having to pay almost double as nothing is level or square. Everything has to be removed and refit.
Invest in a level James and maybe you'll be able to do a somewhat ok job (I know 'somewhat ok' is the best you can do).

Originally hired James in February and was told it would take approx 3 weeks to make and install our new kitchen cabinets. Finally in May was the first time he came to begin the install process and asked for another payment. He was now paid in full which was our first mistake…
Days and weeks went by and James was a no show nor would he answer phone calls or texts.
In July, when he finally started making progress I notice that the cabinets were visibly 2 different shades of white, even after his poor attempt to repaint the cabinets. Crown moulding has clumps of silicone and visible nails. Cabinet
