We hired Kawartha Lakes Construction to design and build a new recreational home for us. This involved demolition of the original building, designing the new building, and constructing the new building. Overall, the team we worked with at KLC can be described in one word: outstanding. In more detail: KLC made the entire process easy for us. They are professional, open, honest, communicative, and pleasant to work with. We have no reservations whatsoever in providing our wholehearted recommendation to use this company.

KLC team did an outstanding job. My wife and I began with an idea of what we wanted in our new build cottage - KLC translated that very high level vision into reality. The work was done on time and on budget. We are thrilled with the result

My family started coming to Deer Bay in the Kawarthas in the 1930s but eventually sold our family cottage. When Mitzi and I had an opportunity to return to Deer Bay and build our dream cottage/retirement home we needed a builder we could really trust since we were 1,000 miles away in St. Paul, Minnesota. Kawartha Lakes Construction proved to be the right choice.
We had specific “Prairie Style” design ideas and they were able to put our thoughts to paper and come up with exactly what we were looking for. They were also able to build in stages (lower level for summer use, boathouse, major landscaping

Kawartha Lakes Construction has been a great company to work with! Considering we live far away from our cottage and in a different time zone we have been able to work well with all the crew. The design and build exceeded our expectations and has transformed our cottage exterior to really take in the views of the lake. Also I’m relishing the idea of not having to spend my limited time at the cottage having to do major maintenance to keep it looking great!
KLC was fabulous at keeping me informed on the progress of the renovation and considering we are on an island and dependant on weather and

It is an absolute pleasure to work with the entire Kawartha Lakes Construction Team; and we have been doing so since their inception close to thirty years ago.
As a supplier, being a part of a great group who is quality driven is truly an honour (and at times somewhat unique in our industry). From front to back, Office Administration, Sales, Project Development, Selections, Purchasing, Construction, Service, Accounting; Scott Wootton’s Team is Organized and Professional. Their Customer Service as well as the Customer Experience is always paramount.
This has been another great year working closely

The Association of Stony Lake Cottagers (ASLC) had reached the end of the useful life of its beloved Juniper Island Store building – the heart of the community. The membership spoke passionately about preserving the heritage of the building and the Board embarked on a project to replicate the exterior as closely as possible while modernizing the interior. Kawartha Lakes Construction was the successful bidder. Throughout the build, KLC worked collegially with the architect, Association and Heritage Foundation to improve the quality of the project – both in design and material selection. The
