From 1960 to the 1990's, Joe and Teresa O'Neill owned and operated Shop n' Save Supermarket. Serving Spaniard's Bay and surrounding communities, the store carried grocery items, fresh cut meats and home supply products. Along with being the store manager, Joe was known for having quite the green thumb.
An avid gardener, he could often be found in his extensive hobby garden. In the 1990's, Joe's passion bloomed into a full-blown business venture. Following the addition of several greenhouses, public gardens and more retail space, Shop n' Save transformed into O'Neill's Gardenland. Following in their father's footsteps, the business was managed by Joe and Teresa's sons Anthony and Steven O'Neill.
