This was our first and probably last time there. Not because it's a bad campground/resort but because we used Rideau Acres as a jumping off spot to go house hunting in Brockville. Once we live in Brockville, there'll be no need to camp at Rideau.
The campgrounds are well maintained, pristine and sites are spacious. The staff are courteous, friendly and helpful.
They don't get four or five stars only because a)the constant drone of traffic from the 401 and the repeated blaring horns of CN and VIA Rail trains was really, really disturbing. No one could be foreseen the volume of highway/rail traffic

We spent 6 nights in the campground. We got a 2 services (electric/water) site without trees. I found the camping very nice but with somethings to improve.
What I liked most: the little "mountain" with a nice view, camping site organization (we got 2 services in a new sector where they are growing trees but sites with 3 services are good). There is also a little sand beach with is nice and we could use our boats. However, you must wear lake shoes as there are sharp rocks in the bottom. Got a lot of cuts in my feet.
What I liked less: bathrooms: cold shower only in our sector, only 2 toilets in

Wonderful campsite. We only stayed for one night but I must say they are organized. We arrived very late but they had our map a key fob all ready for us to pick up when we arrived. We didn’t have to contact anyone. We made our way to our site - right on the water literally. Very nice treed lot with a open fire pit and newer picnic table. Clean bathrooms were about a 5-6 minute walk from our site.
We could here the 401 in the distance but not loud at all. Sometimes you could here a train in the distance as well. Nothing crazy annoying. The park rents boats and kayaks which is awesome for kids

This is a beautiful campground. They have a mixture of seasonal, trailer and tent sites. Various sites accommodate electrical (30 or 50 amp) , along with water and sewer.
The campgrounds are kept neatly groomed and clean.
They can boast having a beautiful beach, children's park, a 9 hole Frisbee golf course, a goose/duck pond, a boat launch with large docks and a banquet hall for weddings.
I would give it 5 stars, but at times you can hear the highway 401 and distant train.
I loved our recent stay and will definitely be back again.

Our site was a gorgeous waterfront site with fire pit and picnic table and direct access to lake.
There is a sandy beach, duck pond (which is beautiful) pool, play structure, a few bathrooms & one of my favorite features was the trail leading to lookout point which has a view of entire campground and lake which is just beautiful.
The staff were friendly and prices were good. Extremely well maintained with plenty for families to do.
Gas station and coffee nearby if needed.
The only downside is that It's very popular and therefore have found it to be often fully booked during peak season.
