Services
The Wandering Minstrel Music School was founded by Steve Rennie in 1982. Working out of his home in Meadowvale, Steve would travel from home to home teaching guitar lessons. The studio grew rapidly in those early years, and new staff were added to meet the growing demand. Unfortunately late one night the music school was broken into and two guitar were stolen.
Why us for lessons? Our mission is to provide the best possible music education for our students. We offer lessons in piano, singing, guitar, ukulele, saxophone, flute, clarinet, violin and violin. Students can follow a traditional classical repertoire or play modern music. The choice is yours. We invite you to compare all our features and options to see why our school has been chosen by so many families.
We offer music lessons in our Mississauga music school for children, teens and adults, in beginner and advanced levels. We also offer audition coaching for music theatre, high school music programs, and college/university music programs. We know that people has busy lifestyles and we'll do our best to find a lesson time that fits your schedule.
The piano is an amazing instrument to learn! Our piano lessons are taught by friendly and qualified piano teachers. We teach classical (Royal Conservatory of Music - all levels), jazz and popular music styles. You can play for fun or become a professional musician. Our piano lessons are second to none!

For the past year and I bit I have been taking Zoom voice lessons with the Wandering Minstrel. It has been a fantastic and rewarding experience, greatly increasing my vocal range, not to mention my singing skills. Laura Riggs is a phenomenal instructor, knowledgeable, patient and open to letting her students explore her own genres of music. Check her out online on her various platforms. I just had my first lesson on Tuesday and I am blown away. I have worked with several vocal coaches and I never felt like my genres (rnb, funk, soul) were ever a focus in my lessons, but this instructor is different. Mwansa is very personable and makes me feel confident that with her lessons I will be able to fine-tune my voice in order to reach my goals as a successful performer. I recommend this studio to anyone who is serious about improving their craft.

At the beginning of 2020, I made a resolution to improve my singing. I enrolled at the music school and started taking voice lessons with Maciej, shortly before we went into lock down due to the pandemic. Taking up music lessons has been the most enjoyable and rewarding experience for me over the past 12 months. It's provided me with daily/weekly goals to work towards and a creative outlet where I can express myself and connect with people, even if it had to be virtual for the time being. The Wandering Minstrel Music School is a great place to begin learning an instrument! I had violin lessons a few years ago with Alla for 3-4 years and I did electric guitar lessons for a couple months with Santiago. All the teachers are very passionate about what they teach. I was always very impressed with the summer concerts performances every year.
If you’re willing to practice violin daily, you have to get Alla! She will break down the basics for you. She’s a very professional and wants you to be the BEST and nothing less.

I have been attending the Wandering Minstrel for piano lessons for the past 8 months with Lauren as my instructor. She is a talented teacher who is as effective as she is fun. My daughter has been a vocal student of Laura's for the past 2 years. We just wanted to thank Laura for all she has done to help Natasha develop her vocal skills. From introducing new song material to mastering vocal scales, all the hard work has been truly appreciated. We are very proud of all Natasha's accomplishments. I would recommend the Wandering Minstrel music school as it is a wonderful place for people of all ages to express their inner music. Thanks for the entertaining year end concerts too.

I've seen my fair share of music schools in my 10 years as a music student but have to say Wandering Minstrel definitely comes out on top! I had my first voice lesson with Maciej yesterday and absolutely loved it! He made me feel incredibly comfortable, was encouraging and was very receptive to my music preferences. The director of the school, Judy, responded to my inquiry very promptly and is a gem of a person!
