We are located at the ferry landing in Balfour, British Columbia, in the middle of some of the best fishing in the world. Home of the Giant Gerrard Rainbow Trout, Big Bull Trout and the famous landlocked Kokanee, to to mention Whitefish, protected Sturgeon, and some Big Mouth Bass in the south end of the lake.

Maybe we got unlucky but you can only rate what you experience. Staff weren't helpful to a couple of novice fishermen/ladies - we asked for some tips and lure suggestions whilst buying licences and equipment but got very short answers and the slight feeling we were just being nuisance tourists. The shop was empty whilst we were there so slightly puzzled as to why.

Friendly staff, willing to answer just about any question you could throw at them, and full of suggestions on what to visit in the area.
A souvenir one-stop-shop, with the best selection of postcards in the entire region, and some great books on the history of the area.
Fair gas prices.
A fun stop if you're waiting for the ferry, and worth a peek even if you're not.
