Maybe we got unlucky but you can only rate what you experience. Staff weren't helpful to a couple of novice fishermen/ladies - we asked for some tips and lure suggestions whilst buying licences and equipment but got very short answers and the slight feeling we were just being nuisance tourists. The shop was empty whilst we were there so slightly puzzled as to why.

Friendly staff and many gifts on hand, a great place to grab your fishing licence or some extra tackle. New fuel tanks and fair prices. Always a clean and wonderful stop!

This store has literally almost everything, it's the quintessential rural general store, a throwback to simpler times. It's fishing section and knowledge is surpassed by none.

Good price on gas, often lower than in nearby Nelson. They pump it for you. Handy convenience store as well.

Bought a new Rod and Reel today and Randy was very knowledgeable and helpful. Very happy with my new purchase even thought I didn't catch any Kokanee today...oh well, I will be ready for them on May 1st! Thanks Randy!

Friendly staff, willing to answer just about any question you could throw at them, and full of suggestions on what to visit in the area.
A souvenir one-stop-shop, with the best selection of postcards in the entire region, and some great books on the history of the area.
Fair gas prices.
A fun stop if you're waiting for the ferry, and worth a peek even if you're not.

There are some souvenirs to buy here. Worth a peek in. You can also purchase your fishing license here. They will try to sell you an extra rainbow tag for $10 on top of your regular license. Just say no if you're fishing within the arm.
