Gray Art Glass was founded by Kevin Robert Gray in 1985. His hard work and dedication to his craft established Gray Art Glass' position as a leading institution in the North American Glass art scene. Best known for creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art, sculptural glass and decorative housewares, our work has been featured in over 250 galleries and shops across North America.
Kevin Gray passed-on his love of glass to his son Michael, who started working by his father's side at the age of 13. Michael went on to further his craft, graduating from Sheridan College's Craft and Design Glassblowing program, and completed additional training at the prestigious Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, WA.

Gray Art Glass is a contemporary glassblowing studio and gallery located in beautiful, historic Merrickville, Ontario. We specialize in high end glassware, lighting, memorial work and home decor. We have a large hot shop, cold working facilities, a packing & shipping area, private consultation room, office and a newly renovated and fully accessible gallery and event space.
Unfortunately many glass pieces can not be repaired, even when it's a clean break. However, you're welcome to send an email to gallery@grayartglass.com with clear photos of the piece and we'll let you know if we can repair it. Repair pricing starts at $100. The Friendship Flame Oil Lamp has been created to pass on the warmth of eternal friendship. Each lamp features our signature glass strands, giving it lots of sparkle when lit. The lamp itself stays cool to the touch, even after hours of burning. The wick is made from fibreglass, so it will last for years without needing to be trimmed or replaced.

I had Gray Art Glass create a memorial paperweight after my mother passed. It is absolutely breathtaking! I returned for two hand blown whiskey glasses and a wine glass for Christmas gifts. The craftsmanship is astounding, I definitely recommend stopping by to check out and purchase a beautiful hand created piece.

Come to Merrickville to experience this amazing place! You can watch local glassblowers make their art on site, walk through the beautifully renovated gallery, and get some wonderful personal touches if you speak to the super helpful staff (e.g. ask about their memorial flames!). This is my go to spot when I want to gift someone an affordable yet quintessential piece of art from my Village! Bonus: this family owned and operated business is also fully wheelchair accessible.
