Services
Melody Foster's varied experience in management, mediation and clinical work provided the foundation for establishing Foster Counselling Services in 1993. Melody retired from counselling in 2010. Terri had previously worked for Melody as a counsellor and she continues to offer professional services.
Therapy helps us to face difficult and painful problems that may seem overwhelming. Sometimes this process involves examining our life stories to gain insight into influences that have shaped our patterns of thinking and behaving. Effective therapy does not let us get "stuck" in the past, but facilitates our understanding of others and ourselves so that we may take steps, however small, in a positive helpful direction.
Terri has been practicing as a Registered Psychiatric Nurse since 1989. She believes in providing professional and compassionate services with her clinical experience and knowledge. Terri is an approved provider for Solareh, Ceridian Life Works, Homewood Human Solutions, Blue Cross, First Nations and Inuit Health Branch, Residential School Support Program, Compensation for Victims of Crime and Private clients.
Alex is an RPC (Registered Professional Counsellor) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). He aims to create a space where clients can be deeply heard, learn to be present and accept what is and to be encouraged to do what matters in life.

With an interest in the latest developments in psychology, Alex takes an approach that is based on the classic principles of effective counselling and paired with insights from the fields of neuroscience and trauma therapy. In addition to counselling, he is trained to provide nondual therapy for interested people.
The program will be provided by Alex Rogowsky, RPC. This is a fee for service program at $45/hour, not covered by insurance. Our Brief Therapy program is designed to be a flexible and accessible option for clients looking for brief, focused counselling. With this program it is our hope to make effective counselling accessible to anyone who might need it.

Report
Over the years, I have seen a number of different counselors and most were pretty good. Then I went to Foster Counselling and saw Eric Blaikie. He was amazing, the best counselor I have ever been to. He changed my life!
