You see we have a great recipe. You might be thinking that growing vegetables doesn't take a recipe, but we believe it does. It starts with having a team with over 100-years of combined growing experience. We grow on natural materials and use only biological insects, and environmentally friendly products.

We use bumblebees for pollination, insects to manage the eco system and we even feed CO2 to our plants because plants love CO2. Our greenhouses are technological marvels; each one is a complete closed system, which allows us to completely control the environment and let our plants grow naturally. But in the end the secret ingredient is worry.
Services
This is why we use greenhouses. It allows us to control the environment and provide our plants with ideal growing conditions from the temperature to humidity and sunlight. Our growers have over 100 years of combined experience gained from training around the world. Their attention to detail and genuine passion for what they do is seen in the world-class plants they produce.
The immigrants that settled in Niagara in the 1950's and 1960's brought with them a breadth of knowledge and experience related to the cultivation of vegetables. We come from this Dutch community that boasts such a rich history of agricultural achievements. A company originally devoted to the production of hydroponic European bell peppers with long expertise in the use of hydroponic growing technology.
When it comes to industry regulations and partnerships, St. David's Hydroponics Ltd. takes its job seriously. Since we work closely with a number of U.S. customers, our company and our preferred carriers are CTPAT and PIP certified. As with all fresh produce, food safety is of ultimate importance.
To say we're micro managers is an understatement. But that's what it takes when you grow the best European bell peppers and eggplants in North America. Starting from the day the seeds are germinated we pay close attention to everything; from transplanting to irrigation, pruning and harvesting, no detail is too small.
You can find our peppers in the greater Niagara area in specialty and traditional grocery stores as well as farmers markets and some of your favorite restaurants. But the majority are sold as bulk or packaged product to national grocery chains across Canada and the United States. Did you know there is significantly more vitamin C in a European bell pepper than a large orange?
