Pregnancy is a time of great change. Maternity portraits are a fantastic way to capture your body's changes as you await the arrival of the new addition to your family. It can also be a time of uncertainty. Even if you aren't overjoyed with the changes in your body right now, these images will become a treasured part of this very special time in your life in years to come.
Newborn sessions take place in my photography studio in Richmond, BC. It lasts 2-3 hours, so we have enough time to cuddle, feed and pose the baby with no rush. For in-home sessions, please take a look at Family Session Info Page. The best time to schedule a newborn session is within 2 weeks after birth.
Babies change so fast and it's so important to capture each and every milestone of them! After the newborn session, there are three milestones that I love to capture: tummy time, sitter and first birthday. For babies from three-months-old to five-months-old that are able to hold their head up, it's also a perfect milestone if you missed the newborn photos.
I will provide the decoration and outfit based on the colours/theme of your choice. If you don't have any idea of what you want, don't worry, I'd love to send you some suggestions! I will also send you recommendations on the bakery and ideas for the cake. I highly recommend to book your cake smash session at least 4-6 weeks in advance, so we have enough time to plan and order custom props if necessary.
I offer two different options for Family Photography. One is called lifestyle session which is held at client's home or someplace outdoors, with natural light and candid shots. The second option is a studio session at my studio in Richmond BC, with posed and formal shots in a neutral/plain backdrop.

Amazing experience with Amanda and her assistant.

I recently had the Christmas mini shoot with my family with Amanda. I had a fantastic experience as she made really good recommendations and was great with the kids. We heard a lot of good reviews online and decided to give it a go, the pictures turn out to be amazing and beautifully packaged for us to keep, the studio is clean and we were never rushed during our time. Amanda is very good getting our daughter’s attention and capturing the exact moment we want.

We worked with Amanda for our maternity and newborn photos, and had a great experience. We opted for a casual and natural look, and Amanda captured this very effectively. Both sets of photos exceeded expectations. In fact, the photos were so good that we had difficulty choosing which ones to finalize. The best part of our time with Amanda was the newborn photo session. Amanda and her assistant did a great job soothing our baby and making the environment as comfortable as possible. Amanda was amazing. She was quick to respond, professional, genuine, patient, accommodating, and great with our son. We had Amanda for our twin daughters' first cake smash session, and Amanda was amazing! It's not a simple task especially with two babies. Amanda was very patient, awesome to work with; and we loved every photo taken. It captured the moment! Our newborn photo session with Amanda exceeded expectations! When researching photographers, I found that not only did she have reasonable rates and little limitations (ie. # of outfits, setups, etc), her… creative style was superior. She was very responsive and took a lot of time upfront to find out what we were looking for and it showed in her planning. She was prepared with an incredible variety of adorable settings and wrap/headband combos for our little girl. We saw Amanda's portfolio, and her awesome reviews, and we decided to go with her for our newborn photo shoot - and I'm so happy we did! From beginning to end, it was an incredible experience. She was very prompt with her communications, and when my son was born three weeks early, she happily accommodated us with an earlier than expected session… date. Her studio was absolutely precious, and when we walked in it was already set up with several set-ups ready to go for us.
