Feel confident in who's teaching your child. Insist on a qualified instructor who have been trained by Royal Academy of Dance RAD, Associates Dance Arts for Professional Teachers ADAPT and Canadian Dance Teachers Association CDTA. We use a prepared, planned, and progressive dance curriculum that teaches proper technique.
Dance is a very physical activity that requires a lot of jumping. The best way to prevent against potential injury is by choosing a studio with a professional "sprung floor". If the dance class has fewer students in it each child will receive more personalized attention, learn more and have more fun.

Starting dance lessons is exciting for children as well as parents. Dance is a wonderful activity for kids, capable of fostering a positive self image in both girls and boys. Dance lessons can teach a child self confidence, self discipline, poise and grace. A child introduced to dance at an early age will likely develop a love of the arts and a passion for rhythm and movement.

So, your little girl or boy is attending dance class for the first time. How exciting! Whether it's your 3-year-old starting debut classes, your 7-year-old going for ballet, tap or jazz, or even a preteen/ early teen who's just recently discovered a love of dance, this section of our website will help you.
Mini Mester classes run in 5 - 8 week sessions and are designed to enhance physical literacy, listening skills, musicality and nurture imagination. Each class includes developmentally appropriate instruction through the use of music and dance. Parents will be invited into the end of the last class for a short performance.
A large part of dance training is the discipline that students learn in class and then carry with them throughout their lives. This discipline begins by arriving in class on time with the proper attire and hairstyle. By arriving in this manner students are better mentally prepared to focus on the task at hand and in return receive the maximum benefit from their dance classes.

Cannot say enough great things about the studio, my daughter isn’t the best dancer or actively engaged but going to “ballet” is her favourite 30 minutes of the week bc her instructor has been phenomenal at including her with the other students and keeping them all engaged which is a big tasks for 2/3 year olds

My daughter Darby just performed at the Festival of Trees 🎄 I did a total mom-fail and showed up in pigtails. When Darby showed up onstage she was sporting a perfect bun ❤ She looked so happy and I am just so grateful to have my daughter enrolled here. I am very excited for the upcoming recital. Thanks DansConnection!
