A ref held me against the boards of the other team after I checked a kid and I was getting punched by 3 players and the other ref just sat there for 20 seconds and as I try to break free from the refs grip because I was not able to defend myself the way he held me i tried pushing him back and I must’ve unintentionally hit him but I was not trying to i was trying to defend myself because in my opinion it’s pretty messed up when a ref just sits there and watches you get beat

Hockey New Brunswick is a place with great couches and fabulous players. All of you guys that are saying girls are being forced to play with girls, you are wrong. Yes I'm playing on a all girls association but that is what I'm comfortable with and girls who are on co-ed teams are comfortable with that. Adults need to stop putting pressure on there kids and just let them play.

My daughter loves playing hockey. If this passes not only will i not be able to afford for her to play on a female team but I will have to see the disappointment on her face when I tell her the reason she can't play is simply because she is a girl! My step daughter played on a female team once she now plays co-ed hockey BY CHOICE! taking that… choice away from her would not only be detrimental to her confidence as a young woman but taking hockey away from her - because it would no longer be affordable- would be devastating. Unfortunately in 2017 we are still only taking baby steps towards

Extremely disappointed with your most recent suggestion to remove co-ed and FORCE girls to find girls to play with! What world are you living it? This is a disgrace and a very large step backwards. For small organizations such as ours, this decision could force shut downs and what are all the kids living in these small communities to do then??? … I hope you overturn this suggestion and think with your heads straight in the future. These are our kids you are affecting and these things are not focusing on the children's best interest, it is about the dollars and cents and THAT is not right

Punishing the kids with not playing untill a ridiculous fined is paid goes against why you exist. You should be ashamed of yourself as an organisation. If you have trouble having attendance at tournaments for you to fine teams and punish 12 year old girls that only want to play hockey by not letting play hockey, maybe the problem is you not the house league teams. So why don't you apologize to the young girls and make sure we never hear such non sense ever again!
